Gilles Marini
His Days of our Lives character Ted met a horrible end, but soap vet Gilles Marini lives another day to bring us incredible entertainment and right now he’s in Georgia filming a new romantic comedy.
The actor, who also appeared as Dr. Ghode on The Bold and the Beautiful, revealed to his Twitter followers that he is currently shooting a new romantic comedy in picturesque Georgia.
According to his IMDB page, Marini will appear in a romantic flick called Venus as a Boy (which is also the name of a song by Björk — whether there is a connection or not, we don’t know as yet), with writer/director/star Ty Hodges, though there’s no confirmation that this is definitely the project to which he was referring.
Keeping Busy
That’s not the only project the former DAYS star has brewing. He’ll also be in the star-studded drama Burning at Both Ends, with Cary Elwes (Princess Bride), Jason Patric, Judd Hirsch, and former General Hospital star Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry Jacks).
Marini also completed a role in Waiting for Anya, which is scheduled to be released in 2020 and stars Oscar-winning actress Anjelica Huston. It’s about World War II and those who smuggled Jewish children across the border from southern France into Spain.
It’s not easy for the busy actor to be away from family and he said as much in a recent Instagram post that gave Marini the chance to show off a talent we didn’t know that he had (see below).
As for the actor’s daytime future, it doesn’t seem like a return is in the cards right now but never say never. After all, he hasn’t been on General Hospital or The Young and the Restless as yet. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
