Days of Our Lives star Kristian Alfonso has portrayed one of Salem’s most beloved characters for over thirty years.
The character of Hope Williams Brady has been a cornerstone on the show and a fan favorite since Alfonso debuted in the role in 1983. The actress has since played her to perfection, leading Hope from adolescence through adulthood with grace.
Alfonso hails from the Boston suburb of Brockton, Massachusetts. She was encouraged by her parents, Gino and Joanne, to follow her passions. Alongside her older sister Lisa, Alfonso explored her interests, which led her to her secret talent–figure skating. Her drive in the sport led to her success as a gold medal winner in figure skating at the Junior Olympics when she was only 13 years old. She was ready to tackle the 1976 Olympic Games, but injured herself in a tobogganing accident and broke her leg. This ended her fledgling Olympic career.
Alfonso has been wed twice. Once to Simon Macauley (1987–1991) that produced one son, Gino. She is currently married to Danny Daggenhurst and the couple has two children, sons Spartan and Jack.
