Days of Our Lives star John Aniston is legendary in for his conniving portrayal of sardonic villain Victor Kiriakis, leading the character into some of the most twisted storylines during his 31-year tenure on the show.
The character of Victor Kiriakis has been involved in some of the most diabolical schemes in Salem. As a criminal with Mafia connections in Greece and Italy as well as throughout the U.S., the character could match with easily with the nefarious Stefano DiMera.
Aniston hails from the island of Crete, Greece, the son of Stella and Antonios Anastasakis. His father immigrated to the United States when Aniston was two, and his parents opened a restaurant in Chester, Pennsylvania. Believing anything was possible, Aniston’s parents encouraged him to follow his acting dreams and he graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts.
But, did you know that after college, the actor served in the United States Navy as an intelligence officer? Aniston was on active duty in Panama and later in the reserve, attaining the admirable rank of Lieutenant Commander
