Jennifer Deveraux’s already an on-screen grandmother courtesy of her daughter Abigail having given birth to Thomas and Charlotte, but now, Days of our Lives star Melissa Reeves is a grandma in real life, too! Reeves’ husband, Scott, recently shared the happy news on his Instagram account.
Congratulations Scott and Melissa Reeves
“I am in utter awe of this precious gift God has entrusted our daughter, @emily.smith.music, and son-in-law, @nate.smith02, with,” posted Scott Reeves, who played Ryan on The Young and the Restless for a decade, as well as Steven on General Hospital. “I got permission to post one pic of our new grandson. They are already pros at parenthood and we can’t wait to see them grow even more.
“God has blessed our family abundantly and I don’t take one bit of that for granted,” Reeves added. “Becoming grandparents has only deepened my conviction for growing in the Lord and being the best example of Christ that I can be for this little guy and I can’t wait to spoil the daylights out of him. We are already so in love with him it’s unexplainable. Woods McClain Smith, you have rocked Sweet Mama (@missyreeves) and Papa G’s (me) world!”
Reeves’ first daytime soap was DAYS where he played Jake. That’s where he and Melissa met. Reeves went on to play Ryan on YR from 1991 to 2001. Later, he popped up as Dr. Steven Lars Webber on General Hospital from 2009-2013.
Daytime pals are weighing in with congratulatory posts. “So happy for you all!! ❤️💕🌟. @scottreevesforreal @missyreeves @emily.smith.music,” posted Tracey Bregman (Lauren, YR).
“Such a handsome new addition to the most loving fam!” wrote Lauralee Bell (Christine, YR). “Congratulations ❤️❤️.”
Reeves’ former on-screen love interest Sabryn Genet (ex-Tricia, YR) wrote: “He is just perfect! 💙.” Soap Hub joins the daytime community in wishing the Reeves’ clan all the best with the addition of the latest family member.
