While we can still see Brandon Barash almost daily on Days of Our Lives in new episodes, we have also seen him of late on General Hospital classics as Johnny Zacchara. And now you can see him in a new short film called The Mourning Hour.
Brandon Barash In Short Film
The film is available on The Reel Women‘s Network and takes place in the 1950s telling the story of a woman named Virginia Bakely who embarks on a reawakening journey when she learns of the death of her husband, played by Barash. The Mourning Hour was written by Shevaun Kastl, who also plays Virginia.
According to Soap Opera News, Barash had this to say about the film: “I love supporting Independent Films. You really get to get in there and explore these characters and these relationships from all sides. Shevaun wrote a great script. The story that came out of her soul was beautifully poignant.”
The film has another soap connection as The Reel Women’s Network is a streaming service partly created by soap vet Crystal Chappell who played popular characters on both Days of Our Lives and Guiding Light and has her own digital soap, Venice: The Series.
Over at Days of Our Lives, it looks like Barash is playing a brand-new character and not Stefan O. DiMera. He is indeed Jake Lambert, brash auto mechanic. However, he is also Stefan’s identical twin who Vivian (Louise Sorel) never knew about. Just like Stefan, Ivan (Ivan G’Vera) made the decision to give Jake away at birth.
With this news, we expect Vivian to latch onto Jake the way she did Stefan, but where does this leave Gabi (Camila Banus), who was convinced this man was her dearly departed husband? Stay tuned to find out. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
