The star-studded cast of Dancing With the Stars Season 29 has been announced and there’s a familiar face in the cast list from the world of soaps — Chrishell Stause! The Selling Sunset reality TV star and former Days of Our Lives star is going to learn ballroom dancing from one of the show’s returning pros.
Chrishell Stause: Dance Off
Stause shared her enthusiasm over the casting news via Twitter. “I’m so just excited and completely terrified but in the best way possible so that’s my news,” shares the actress, who, in addition to playing Jordan on DAYS, has also been on All My Children as Amanda and The Young and the Restless as Bethany. “I’ve got my work cut out for me.”
The actress says her dance experience is limited to when she’s been out with a group of girlfriends and they all dance together. “I have never taken any kind of real dance class,” she reveals. While viewers won’t learn who stars’ partners are until the night of the Season 29 premiere, Stause is already raving about the man with whom she’s been paired.
“Luckily, my partner is really patient,” she enthuses, “and that is amazing. I love him. He’s so patient which is, really, honestly, the number one thing I was hoping for. I just want to have fun with this.”
To her supporters, Chrishell Stause adds, “And wish me luck! Hopefully, you’ll vote for me because I’m going to really need it!”
Who might her Dancing With the Stars pro partner be? Our educated guess is she’ll be partnered with Gleb Savchenko, who is 6’1″. He and Stause, who is 5’6″, would complement each other nicely — especially if Stause wears heels as part of her performance wardrobe.
Other possible partners include Brandon Armstrong, Arten Chignivstev, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Keo Motsepe, and Pasha Pashkov. Dancing With the Stars Season 29, hosted by Tyra Banks, debuts Monday, September 14 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
