It’s hard to believe that before Florence Henderson became America’s favorite mom on The Brady Bunch and Bill Hayes made a name for himself as Doug Williams on Days of Our Lives, the two were a musical sensation in the 1960s.
Known as “The Singing Sweethearts,” the pair took America by storm–especially in commercials.
When Oldsmobile was the classic American family car of the baby boomer generation, Bill Hayes and Florence Henderson sang the brand’s praises in a series of commercials, and also worked together on albums and nightclubs.
The world was saddened to wake up to the news that Henderson died on Thanksgiving at the age of 82 of apparent heart failure.
Old pal and partner Bill Hayes expressed his grief and shared some memories of Henderson on Twitter.
