In an incredible departure from the usual on Days of our Lives, Kristen is sitting in jail, arrested for a crime she actually committed. Eli (Lamon Archey) snapped the cuffs on her for stabbing Victor (John Aniston).
But, see, here’s the thing: Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is totes sorry. Not just for her latest crime, but for all the crimes she committed over the past (almost) three decades. Should Salem forgive her? What almost 2,000 viewers have to say about that:
Kristen has turned over a new leaf, 61% of the audience insists. Now that she’s finally been reunited with Baby Rachel, all she wants to be is a mommy, not a monster.
She’s sorry for stabbing Victor. And killing Haley (Thia Megia). And shooting Marlena (Deidre Hall). And kidnapping Tate. And raping Eric (Greg Vaughan). And kidnapping EJ. (Anyone want to take a moment to ponder that the first tot Kristen ever snatched is now married to Brady’s older stepsister?)
Time sure does move in mysterious ways! Basically, Kristen’s slate should be wiped clean now that there’s a little girl who calls her Mama. (Though we still want Rachel to catch a glimpse of Sarah… and see what happens then.)
A smaller 39% of you might agree that Kristen was justified in what she did to Victor, and even Haley, too. But that doesn’t excuse all the other stuff. She wasn’t acting from maternal grief when she extracted an embryo from Theresa’s (Jen Lilley) womb.
And she certainly wasn’t thinking about how much she loved Brady (Eric Martsolf) and wanted to make a life with him when she pretended to be Susan and tried to kill Marlena at her and John’s latest remarriage. Isn’t there some kind of lifetime achievement jail sentence Kristen could get for all her past sins? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
