Once upon a time on Days of our Lives, Gabi and Abby were actually friends – with adorably rhyming names. But then there was Chad (Billy Flynn), and a murder, and split personalities, and jail time, and, anyway, it didn’t end well.

A majority 69% of you prefer the gals as pals. Neither one is all good or all bad, and they tend to bring out the vixen and the sensible in each other. They’ve fought over Chad in the past – though, to be fair, Abby was pretending to be dead – but now the viewers would rather see Gabi with Jake (Brandon Barash), so that’s not an issue anymore.

And if these two women ever joined forces, Salem would see a power to be reckoned with. They’re stronger together. Plus, now there’s Gwen (Emily O’Brien) to snark with, so the quota will be filled. She’s out to get Abby… for some reason. Maybe Gabi can figure it out.
Not Another One
It’s bad enough Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) are suddenly some kind of BFFs; 31% of the audience couldn’t handle it if Abby and Gabi went down the same path. We don’t tune into soaps to watch people be nice to each other. We watch for the angst, the conflict, the catfights!
Sure, Gwen seems to be up to something. But until we know what, we can’t really get invested. We don’t know what Gwen’s deal is. But we do know Abby and Gabi’s history.
