The winner, with 43% of the vote, was also the character whose been on the canvas the longest. Fans have been with Marlena through her marriage to Don and the death of their newborn son, through her romance with Roman, through her romance with John (Drake Hogestyn), through the births of her children and grandchildren, through her many, many kidnappings, and even a death or two.

You Gotta Have Hope

Slightly fewer fans, 42% of you, went with Hope (Kristian Alfonso). You’ve also seen her through thick and thin, husbands, children, grandchildren, kidnappings, ice skating, death. She’s currently off the canvas, but you know it’s only a matter of time before she returns – with Ciara (Victoria Konefal) in tow.

Medical Aid

A match smaller 7% of the audience chose Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). She’s also been through the wringer, though these days, trouble tends to come more from her stepson and his crazy mom than anything happening in her relationship with Steve (Stephen Nichols). She hasn’t had cause to do anything heroic lately, which puts her out of sight and out of mind.

Half Pint

Jennifer (Cady McClain) isn’t looking like herself these days, but she is acting like herself. Judging Jack (Matthew Ashford) then taking him back on a whim. Only 4% picked her as their fave. Be better, Jenn!
