Salem’s forbidden couple is getting ready to take a big step forward and actors Victoria Konefal and Robert Scott Wilson are talking all about the must-see DAYS moment.
They’re also discussing how the pair’s onscreen romance has been progressing, slowly, but quite surely, into a first kiss.
Feelings First
The kiss happens outside the Brady Pub after Ben, who’s already opened up about his feelings for Ciara, presses her to acknowledge her own for him.
“The fact that he’s admitted his feelings… that it’s out in the air,” begins Konefal. “It had been something that was not spoken, but they both knew was there. They never really wanted to talk about it. Then Ben finally did and that pushes Ciara to open up.
“Ciara definitely has feelings for him back, she’s just been afraid to explore that,” continues Konefal.

“One, she doesn’t really want to ruin her friendship with Ben. And two, she has been hurt over and over and over. She was just hurt by her last boyfriend [Tripp]. She doesn’t know what to do with herself anymore. She has some trust issues that she’s working through.”
Nevertheless, Ciara does finally come clean with Ben.
“You can’t really grow in your comfort zone,” points out Konefal. “So Ciara’s excited to step outside of hers and explore new things.”
