It took EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) a while, but both eventually remembered that they’d crossed paths at a clinic in Italy. EJ was mummified and being treated for massive burns, while Cat was recovering from the injuries that put her in Clyde’s (James Read) clutches. Cat would come and read to him. EJ had no choice but to listen.
They’re both convinced that’s as far as it went. Except that when Cat kissed EJ as part of her and Rafe’s (Galen Gering) investigation — kind of — she admitted it felt like maybe it wasn’t the first time.

That’s how Roman (Josh Taylor) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) ended up being Rex and Cassie’s parents. So who knows what Stefano and Rolf may have done to EJ and Cat… and made them forget about.
