On the April 7 episode of Days of our Lives, Sarah, Philip, and Gabi assumed that Xander would be incensed to learn that Philip and Gabi were moving into the Kiriakis Mansion. Xander just smiled and shrugged. He doesn’t live in the house anymore, so why should he care who else might take up residence there? Could Xander have a much better plan in mind to make all three of them miserable?
Key Takeaways:
- Xander put on a happy face for Sarah
- Xander has a grudge against Philip
- Xander might find Gabi useful
Playing the Long Game
Xander (Paul Telfer, who recently highlighted DAYS actresses who have left an impact) acted like Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), taking up residence in the house where Xander was no longer welcome, which was no skin off his very well-developed chest. But we know Xander tends to take everything personally. He still holds a grudge over Philip helping to keep Xander from his birthright— and the money that comes with his birthright. Xander isn’t likely to wish Philip well in his new relationship— or his new home. Sure, he can play disinterested for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). But we know his wheels are turning, nonetheless.
Hit ‘Em Where It Hurts
Xander already punched Philip repeatedly. That didn’t do much good in the long run. So now it’s time for him to try hitting Philip in a more metaphorical sense. Philip is deliriously happy in love with Gabi? Let’s see what Xander can do about that. What if Xander were to seduce Gabi away from Philip? It would make Philip furious. What’s he going to do? Hit Xander? That will give up whatever moral superiority Philip has. And, as an added bonus, Sarah will pretend she doesn’t care about Xander and Gabi. We suspect Sarah would care about Xander and Gabi. A lot.
