Connie's plan comes crashing down while Xander's in for a shock.
It was an explosive week in Salem, and you won’t miss a moment of it in the Days of our Lives recap for September 16-20, 2024.
Killer Connie’s (Julie Dove) revenge plot came to an explosive end for several Salemites, while “Abigail” (AnnaLynne McCord) and Mark’s (Jonah Robinson) true intentions were revealed.

“Abigail” talked to Mark on the phone about being unsure she can continue with their plan, and when Chad walked in and asked who she was talking to, she lied and said she was ordering delivery. As Chad read her his wedding vows, they were just about to share a kiss when they were interrupted by Chad’s phone ringing. Chad left and “Abigail” wondered again if she can continue just before she received a text from Clyde (James Read) telling her to marry Chad.
Meanwhile, Steve (Stephen Nichols) decided he needed to talk to Clyde in prison after he and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) swapped suspicions about Abigail, while Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) shared a kiss.
Before Xander (Paul Telfer) could beat Brady (Eric Martsolf) with a bat, Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) admitted that she slept with Brady. Xander tore into Brady, and when Fiona alluded to being drunk with him, Brady covered for her.
Wanting more revenge on her husband, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) showed up in EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) bed, but when he turned her down, she decided to strut into the living room in EJ’s robe to taunt Stefan (Brandon Barash). As payback, Stefan decided to call Paulina (Jackée Harry) and tell her about EJ’s role in Sloan’s (ex-Jessica Serfaty) plot with Jude, prompting her to fire EJ.
Recovering from the coma, Rafe (Galen Gering) remembered hearing a woman’s voice before he was stabbed. Jada (Elia Cantu) shared her suspicions about Connie and they realized she may be behind the stabbing and Everett’s death.
Connie went to Melinda (Tina Huang) ready to kill her, but when she lunged at her with a knife, Melinda got free and fought her off. Melinda almost made it out the door until Connie hit her over the head. When Jada went searching Connie’s apartment, Connie showed up at the DiMera Mansion and held a knife to Gabi.
While searching Connie’s apartment, Jada discovered Li’s (Remmington Hoffman) cutout tucked into Connie’s bed while Connie admitted all her crimes to Gabi before going after her with a knife. An unconscious Gabi and tied-up Melinda sat side-by-side in the mansion walls as Connie revealed her plan to blow up the mansion.
After Roman (Josh Taylor) offered Ava (Tamara Braun) her old job back to pay her rent, when Stefan found out, he offered her a job managing The Bistro and she accepted. The two went there to celebrate when EJ showed up. Stefan let him know that he knew he slept with Gabi again, and EJ decided not to correct him.
“Abigail” showed Mark the threatening text from Clyde and he reminded his sister the importance of doing what Clyde says. Meanwhile, Steve visited Clyde and offered to get him a deal if he told him everything he knows about”Abigail.” Later, Mark almost ran into Steve on his way into the prison, then visited Clyde, who reminded him he wants the DiMera fortune or else he and his siblings won’t see their mother again.
Connie’s final act of revenge was planting a bomb in the DiMera Mansion. EJ got closer to finding the women in the walls while Ava fired back at Stefan when he suggested they sleep together again to get back at Gabi.
In attempt to quickly grow their bond, “Abigail” told Chad she remembers their wedding, while Mark was confronted by Kayla about the DNA test he did for Abby.
The bomb went off right as EJ made it inside, and he was able to rescue Gabi from the rubble while Jada made it in to help Melinda.
Meanwhile, Connie showed up at Ava’s apartment and held a knife to her throat when Stefan arrived. Stefan taunted Connie about Li and she lunged at him with the knife. Stefan got cut and Ava was able to chase her off, but Connie wound up getting caught by Jada.
