It was a week full of family and heartbreak in Salem, and the Days of our Lives recap for the week of November 25-29, 2024 covers everything you might have missed.
In Salem, as Thanksgiving began, beloved Salemites returned and learned of a devastating loss. The news traveled to Hope (Kristian Alfonso, who returned to DAYS) over in Greece, who visited Bo (Peter Reckell) and noticed his hand move.

After Javi (Al Calderon) confided in Rafe (Galen Gering) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) confided in Marlena (Deidre Hall) about what happened between them, Leo showed up with flowers for Javi as an apology. Javi pretended to consider it before turning him down.
After Paulina (Jackée Harry) pressed Jada (Elia Cantu) to solve the cupcake case, she mistook Marlena for Hattie (Deidre Hall) and almost arrested her.
While EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) suggested to Johnny (Carson Boatman) that he keep quiet about his affair, Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) begged Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) not to spill her secret. When Chanel (Raven Bowens) showed up to update them on the cupcakes, Alex almost told her, then decided not to.
On Thanksgiving in Salem, after Bonnie (Judi Evans) burned the Kiriakis’ dinner, Justin (Wally Kurth) suggested he bring home pizzas, hilariously nodding to his General Hospital character’s usual Thanksgiving meal. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) invited them all to the pub, where Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) surprised her loved ones with being able to walk and Philip ruthlessly announced to everyone that he had replaced Xander (Paul Telfer) as the head of Titan.
As The Hernandezes kicked off their Thanksgiving festivities, Rafe took charge in the kitchen while Jada (Elia Cantu) worked. Javi (Al Calderon) confided in him about what happened between him and Leo (Greg Rikaart) while Leo confided in Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). Later, Rafe revealed to Jada that he got a new job at Black Patch and Leo arrived, not to see Javi, but to hire Rafe to find the new Lady Whistleblower.
Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) admitted to Johnny (Carson Boatman) that she told Alex about their affair. When Chanel (Raven Bowens) spotted them and invited Joy to Thanksgiving, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) sneakily suggested Joy leave Salem after revealing he knew what she and his son did.
Salem was full of familiar faces as Eli (Lamon Arche) and Lani (Sal Stowers) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) came home for Thanksgiving.
When Jack and Jennifer walked in the Horton House and spotted Cat (AnnaLynne McCord), Jennifer slapped her, and then Chad (Billy Flynn) stepped in to explain his plan for catching Clyde (James Read). After JJ (Casey Moss) asked Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) to join him as a decoy, he went to the Horton House and revealed to his parents that he’s joining Chad and Cat on the mission.
Meanwhile, as Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) prepared for dinner, Jack went upstairs to get Doug and realized he had passed away in his sleep. He went down to tell Julie and console her. (Learn about some other heartbreaking Thanksgiving episodes of soaps).
After Jack broke the news of Doug’s death, he and Eli consoled her. Jennifer called Hope, who reminisced with flashbacks of her father before informing Shawn (Brandon Beemer). Later, she went to visit Bo (Peter Reckell) in the hospital and he moved.
While Julie went upstairs to say goodbye to her husband, Kayla, Marlena (Deidre Hall), and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) also learned of Doug’s passing and everyone gathered at the Horton House to support Julie.
