Holly (Ashley Puzemis) arrived at the Horton House to confront Doug III (Peyton Meyer) about his admission of feelings for her and made it clear that her heart belongs to Tate (Leo Howard). Meanwhile, Tate and Sophia (Rachel Boyd) broke it to Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) that Amy (Shi Ne Nielson) was now under the belief that they were very committed to their religion. When Tate later ran into Holly and Doug III in the square, Doug III admitted to Tate that he had stolen a necklace.
Paulina (Jackée Harry) arrived at EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) doorstep, confronting him about the Rafe/Arnold (Galen Gering) situation. When Johnny and Chanel walked in on them going at it, they warned their parents to remain civil during their lunch with Amy. Once everyone arrived, Chanel made a striking entrance, wearing a dress adorned with a cross as she and Johnny put on the religious act.
Things took a turn when Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and Jada (Elia Cantu) got the DNA results confirming that the man claiming to be Rafe was indeed an imposter and barged into the mansion, demanding answers from EJ. The scene prompted Amy to leave with Sophia and Tate, and Johnny warned his father that he better not have anything to do with what happened.

While Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) discussed the upcoming hospital fundraiser, Cat confessed her complicated feelings for Chad (Billy Flynn). Later, Marlena received a call about John (the late Drake Hogestyn) being missing, which suddenly shifted her focus.
At The Spectator, Chad assured Leo (Greg Rikaart) he could publish a story concerning Ava’s (Tamara Braun) kidnapping as long as he left Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) out of it.
After Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) ran into Joy at the pub, she fell ill and went to the hospital, where she got a pregnancy test. When Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) put a rush on the results, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) accidentally overheard her.
As for Titan, Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Xander (Paul Telfer) met with a member of the DiMera board and convinced him to support their latest venture. Later, Alex approached Xander about returning to the company while Joy asked Philip for a job.

When Ava (Tamara Braun) and Belle (Martha Madison) met at the pub, Ava broke it to her that she wouldn’t be pressing charges against Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) for Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) sake after the threat of CPS. Belle told her she had an obligation to carry on with the case. Then, when Kristen walked in, Ava finally confronted her and slapped her.
While Philip assured Joy he would ask Xander about hiring her, Xander promised Alex he could return to Titan. When Philip learned the news, he wondered if Joy would be okay working with her ex, but ultimately hired her as well. When Joy ran into Alex, they both revealed they just got jobs at Titan.
After Stephanie overheard that Joy could be pregnant, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) found her distraught and she confided in her mom about the situation. Also at the hospital was Brady, who paid Marlena a visit. She gave him the news about his father.

When Jada (Elia Cantu) confronted “Arnold” (Galen Gering) at the SPD, Rafe slowly regained his memories of Jada, telling her about their first kiss and his proposal. Jada decided to run his prints and learned he was the real Rafe.
EJ briefed Rita (Maggie Carney) on the latest about Rafe. Then Rita revealed that she had permanently taken care of Arnold. Before she could explain, Gabi showed up to confront EJ yet again. When Rita hurried off, Gabi whipped out Rafe’s gun and held EJ at gunpoint. Luckily, JJ (Casey Moss) noticed the gun missing and found Gabi at the DiMera Mansion, where he told her that the man in custody was Rafe.
After Stephanie found out that Alex and Joy would be co-workers at Titan, the couple took off while Joy’s stress caused her to nearly faint. JJ caught her and insisted she get checked out, but she declined because she assumed she was pregnant.

While Ava and Brady talked things out regarding Kristen and the kidnapping, Kristen went and picked her mother up from the SPD. Despite holding her to a promise not to cause any more trouble, the second Kristen turned her back; her mother left to confront Ava.
Doug III showed up at Leo’s hoping for a lead on the necklace. Leo asked about his feelings for Holly, and then Doug found out that the woman who bought the necklace agreed to meet with him. When she arrived in the square, she revealed herself to be Melinda (Tina Huang) wearing the necklace. Also, on the necklace front, when Tate questioned Holly about Doug III, she accidentally let it slip that it was Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) necklace he stole. Later, Tate went home to ask his father about John being missing, then the two got a shock when Theresa (Emily O’Brien) showed up.
When Marlena told Steve (Stephen Nichols) that she decided to go find her husband, he agreed to join her, starting with confronting Shane (Charles Shaughnessy).
