On the B&S set at the hospital, Johnny (Carson Boatman) was left unmotivated after losing Chanel (Raven Bowens) and wound up confiding in Bonnie (Judi Evans) about his marriage. Meanwhile, Paulina (Jackée Harry) tried convincing Chanel not to quit the show but only managed to get her to go film Faith’s exit scene. When she arrived, she learned that her sudden exit resulted in a repeat storyline. Faith would die from falling down the elevator shaft.

Abe (James Reynolds) requested to meet with Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) and informed both her and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) that their characters would now be a couple with Faith gone. When Alex noted their real-life chemistry, they hinted at their actual hookup and both agreed they enjoy spending time together. Later, when they filmed a scene where Regan taunted Faith about sleeping with Arrow, Chanel lost control and slapped Joy.

Meanwhile, at the B&S office, Kate (Lauren Koslow) advised Hattie (Deidre Hall) to stay on her best behavior now that she’s returning to the show. Kate also helped guide Bonnie and Hattie through their upcoming scenes at the hospital. When Bonnie got a text asking her to go get a fitting, she headed to the elevator, unbeknownst to her it had been used for the stunt, and wound up falling down the elevator shaft.

After Leo (Greg Rikaart) barged in on Javi (Al Calderon) and Kerry (Derek Yates) and revealed how he found out that Kerry is Lady Whistleblower, Javi kicked Kerry out and reunited with Leo before the two hit the sheets.

EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) paid a visit to Rafe’s (Galen Gering) house to discuss their ongoing “case.” After Jada (Elia Cantu) stepped out to leave them alone, EJ made it clear to Arnold (Galen Gering) that he wasn’t to lay a finger on his “fiancée” and needed to stay focused on helping him with his mission: getting Jada fired as DA and “Rafe” back in charge.

Justin (Wally Kurth) and Alex visited Bonnie in the hospital, who was covered in bruises and suffered several broken bones from the fall. Justin tried to assert that Bonnie was no longer working on B&S, but Alex managed to calm him down. After Justin got a call learning that the costume department never sent Bonnie a text about a fitting, he realized the text came from an unknown number, who set out to hurt his wife. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure struck a red X through a photo of Bonnie, hinting at something more sinister at play for B&S.

Over at Titan, Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) attempted to thank Stephanie (Abigail Klein) for her discretion regarding his forged letter, but she assured him she was only keeping quiet for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). When Xander (Paul Telfer) arrived at work, the co-CEOs agreed to team up in pursuit of DiMera Enterprises.

Back at the hospital, Jada asked Stephanie to be her maid of honor. Alex found out that Stephanie had broken up with Philip, while Sarah was given the green light to return to work.

After a nightmare about Kerry trying to kill him, Leo woke up and was comforted by Javi, who assured him he let Jada know what Kerry did. When Jada questioned Kerry about the B&S crimes, he denied everything except being Lady W.

At the hospital, Abe asked Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) to be Bonnie’s temporary recast, and she reluctantly agreed. Meanwhile, Stephanie admitted to Alex that she had only started dating Philip as a way to get over him. When they finally revealed they still had feelings for each other, Stephanie suggested she quit her job to be with him. This left Alex needing to break things off with Joy, who was in the process of revealing their relationship to Kate.

All the while, a mysterious figure pinned their Xed-out photo of Bonnie to a corkboard before approaching a photo of their next victim: Alex.

Although Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) took her worry out on Brady (Eric Martsolf), he understood and still comforted her as they awaited news on Rachel. Shawn (Brandon Beemer) received a tip about a young girl matching Rachel’s description being hit by a car, and Belle (Martha Madison) joined him at the hospital to find out if it was her niece. They were relieved to learn that the girl wasn’t Rachel, and the exes shared a hug.

Overwhelmed by his missing sister and impending fatherhood, Tate had a little living room therapy session with Marlena (Deidre Hall), while Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) was forced to answer to her mother about her changed doctor’s appointment. Just when the two managed to be civil, Sophia brought up the idea of adoption, and Amy (Shi Ne Nielson) immediately shot her down. After Holly showed up at Tate’s to comfort him over his sister, Sophia showed up in tears, telling him that her mother won’t allow an adoption.

At the pub, Marlena met with Steve (Stephan Nichols) and asked him to help put her in touch with John (the late Drake Hogestyn). Steve broke it to her that he had already tried and Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) had shot him down.

At the end, Rachel was seen arriving at an abandoned house with her stuffed snake.

EJ tried comforting Kristen and the two reminisced about the past. Meanwhile, at Kristen’s mother’s house, Rachel encountered a woman in white, whose name was also Rachel (Roslyn Gentle). Young Rachel revealed she ran away and her dislike for Ava, which prompted the older Rachel to help her get Ava out of the picture.

Rachel called Ava asking for her and gave her the address to the abandoned house. When she got there, she was knocked out by the two Rachels.

Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) arrived at Marlena’s office hoping for an update on the assistant position, but Marlena admitted she was too concerned about Rachel at the moment, while Cat wound up admitting she has feelings for Chad (Billy Flynn).

At the Horton House, Chad broke it to JJ (Casey Moss) that Cat was staying in Salem, then the two ran into a grieving Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and talked her into getting help from Marlena. When they arrived at her office, they unexpectedly ran into Cat again.
