After discovering that Ava (Tamara Braun) never arrived to see Tripp (ex-Lucas Adams), Steve (Stephen Nichols) assured Brady (Eric Martsolf) that he would track her down. Meanwhile, in Aremid, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) reunited with her mother, the Woman in White, Rachel (Roslyn Gentle). The elder Rachel persuaded Kristen to keep Ava captive in order to help her daughter.
After Jada (Elia Cantu) wondered why Belle (Martha Madison) sided with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), she noticed the door to the tunnels was ajar. She headed down to find EJ, who was feeding Rafe (Galen Gering) breakfast. When she found EJ, she accused him of framing her but never found her fiance.
At the police station, Paulina (Jackée Harry) informed Shawn (Brandon Beemer) that she had appointed “Rafe” as the interim commissioner. While Shawn broke the news to Jada, EJ decided they had too many close calls and moved Rafe to the house in Aremid, unbeknownst to him that Ava was also being held captive there.

As the B&S cast and crew healed from the poisoning, Johnny (Carson Boatman) comforted a shaken Bonnie (Judi Evans), while Stephanie (Abigail Klein) confided in Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) about her new relationship with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), who went to visit Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins). Leo (Greg Rikaart) approached Hattie (Deidre Hall) with an offer to play two roles on B&S (much like her portrayer has on DAYS), but she turned him down.
Abe (James Reynolds) had a serious conversation with Kate (Lauren Koslow) that ended with the decision to pull the plug on the show after everything that’s happened. The cast and crew received an urgent text to gather at the hospital, where Abe and Kate made the announcement that Body & Soul was coming to an end in Salem. However, they revealed that a buyer had purchased the rights and would be moving the show to Los Angeles, and anyone from the cast who wanted to follow the show to LA could join.
Hattie immediately jumped at the chance to go. Joy asked Alex if he would join her if she went, and when he hesitated, she asked if it was because of Stephanie. Seth (Bruce Beatty) also decided to leave, then let it slip to Kayla that the hospital was about to file for bankruptcy.

After discovering that the hospital was facing bankruptcy, Kayla and Stephanie sprang into action to strategize how to save it. Meanwhile, Joy confronted Alex about catching him kissing Stephanie.
At the B&S office, Leo bid farewell to his soap job just as Doug III (Peyton Meyer) arrived for his first day as Leo’s assistant. Leo broke the news that the show was over, leaving Doug III in need of a new job.
At the pub, Tate (Leo Howard) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) made romantic plans for Valentine’s Day that included them engaging in their first time together. But their date was suddenly interrupted by Sophia (Rachel Boyd, who made her DAYS debut), who informed Tate that a religious couple she knows is interested in adopting their baby. After they took off to meet the couple, Doug III arrived and lent Holly an ear as she vented about her boyfriend.
Sophia and Tate’s adoptive parents fell through, and they ran into Johnny and Chanel (Raven Bowens), who happily decided they were ready to start their family.

When Jada paid a visit to “Rafe” in the commissioner’s office, she confronted him about what happened and her suspicions that EJ fabricated the dirt. When he planted one on her, she slapped him and asked Shawn to get her out of there. He joined her at the pub as she drowned her sorrows, and he revealed to her that Belle had slept with EJ again. Meanwhile, Brady opened up to Belle about the missing Ava. Then, Belle confided in him about her hookup with EJ.
At the house in Aremid, EJ discovered a tied-up Ava. Before he could free her, he was approached by the Woman in White, who threatened to reveal that he brought Rafe there. The two agreed to keep each other’s captives a secret, and then EJ went home and informed Kristen that he’d met her mother.
Elsewhere, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) confronted Kristen about using her serum as leverage when she ran into her at the bar. At the Kiriakis Mansion, Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) made strides not only in their plan to take DiMera but also as brothers. Xander agreed his brother should stay for dinner and then offered for him to move back into the mansion.

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) remembered her late husband on Valentine’s Day, flashing back to memories. Doug III showed up with roses for her, then admitted he had a crush on someone who was taken and Julie shared more memories of Doug (the late Bill Hayes).
Both Tate and Johnny showered their respective partners with gifts and gestures, Johnny noting that Valentine’s Day doubled as their first wedding anniversary. While Holly had a heart-to-heart with Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) about her plan to make love with Tate, he ran into Sophia with her mom when she experienced sudden pain.
First, Chanel got a checkup from Kayla, who revealed she should wait a bit longer to get pregnant. Then Kayla gave Sophia the all-clear, and when Tate ran into Johnny and Chanel, they told him he might have found a couple to adopt the baby.
After Steve tricked Kayla into thinking he had forgotten their “Valentineversary,” he and Stephanie set up a celebration for the couple, and they relished in memories.
At the Horton Cabin, Holly tried on her new lingerie she planned on wearing that night when she was interrupted by Doug III walking in.
