Monday, December 23, 2024
Ava (Tamara Braun) brought the threatening text to Brady (Eric Martsolf), who immediately assumed Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was behind it. Meanwhile, Kristen was busy being asked by EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) to fire Belle (Martha Madison). When Brady eventually showed up and confronted Kristen, she claimed that it wasn’t her.
When JJ (Casey Moss) arrived at Gabi’s (Cherie Jimenez) for their date, Jada (Elia Cantu) offered him a job at the SPD. On their date, JJ reminded Gabi that he wouldn’t be here without her and decided he would take the job.
While Leo (Greg Rikaart) fought with himself over the necklace, Rafe (Galen Gering) arrived with Hattie (Deidre Hall) and the two questioned her about being Lady Whistleblower. Despite her denials, Rafe brought her into the SPD for interrogation, where Jada began asking her about the cupcakes. That was when Belle appeared to represent Hattie.

EJ got an unexpected visit from Rafe, who eventually revealed himself to be Rafe’s old doppelganger, Arnold (Galen Gering). Arnold admitted he came seeking some DiMera fortune and decided he would be staying at the mansion until he got it.
As Christmas Eve began in Salem, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) visited her parents and confided in Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) about Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), while Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) was busy gloating about Stephanie to Alex.
There is already trouble in paradise for Rafe and Jada as Rafe confided in Steve (Stephen Nichols? about how being a PI could conflict with Jada as the commissioner.

Tate (Leo Howard) closed the pub to celebrate Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) birthday, but was interrupted by a call from Sophia (Madelyn Kientz), who he promised he would take for an abortion on Friday. Later, when Holly’s Christmas present to him was concert tickets for Friday, he lied about having to visit his grandparents that day. Just when he considered admitting the truth, he told Holly he loved her instead.
Everyone gathered at the Horton House to hang their ornaments. After Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) shared her suspicions about Doug III (Peyton Meyer) with Jack (Matthew Ashford) and JJ, JJ decided to confront Doug III about why he was in jail. Doug III told them it was due to a bar fight on his way to Salem. Later, the ornaments were hung, and once Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) hung hers, she gave Doug III the chance to hang her late husband’s.

On Christmas morning, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) celebrated the twins’ birthday with Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe (James Reynolds). After exchanging presents, they all headed to the hospital for Paulina to read to the children.
Kayla recruited Roman (Josh Taylor) to be Santa, but when he started having heart attack symptoms, she admitted him and learned he had an allergic reaction to the suit. Abe (James Reynolds) later pulled through as Santa.
At the pub, Ava enlisted Steve to help find out who the texter was, and his digging led him to discovering that the texts were coming from the DiMera Mansion.
Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) admitted to her mom that what she really wanted for Christmas was for her parents to reconcile. After Brady came to give her presents, Rachel secretly whipped out her phone and sent another threatening text to Ava.

Sophia arrived at Tate’s in preparation for her visit to the abortion clinic when Holly showed up at his door. He had her hide in another room while he tended to Holly, who brought him a snack for his flight. Later, Holly ran into Doug III in the square and offered him the concert tickets she got Tate.
While Doug III learned from Leo that he sold the necklace, but for less than he needed, Holly arrived back at Tate’s just as he and Sophia were leaving together.
Another unexpected visit happened at the DiMera Mansion when Rafe showed up at EJ’s door while Arnold sat living the DiMera life in the next room. Another blow may come to EJ after Jada met with Belle and asked her to replace him as DA.
