At the cabin, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) confronted Tate (Leo Howard) about finding him and Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) half-naked, but Tate insisted he only wanted to be with Holly, and she believed him. They kissed, and Tate mentioned Holly’s Aunt Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), who had been hit by a car.
Holly and Tate ate pastries at the cabin and discussed Mark’s (Jonah Robinson) involvement with Aaron (Louis Tomeo) and Felicity (Kennedy Garcia).
Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) hid a vodka bottle under the bed when Xander (Paul Telfer) arrived, seeking to see Victoria. Fiona expressed concern about finding the person responsible for nearly killing his wife. Fiona resolved to be a better mother to Xander and discarded her vodka bottle.
Brady (Eric Martsolf) lied to Jada (Elia Cantu) about his car being stolen, but she pressed him to file a report, suspecting the car thief could be connected to Sarah’s accident.
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) found Chad (Billy Flynn) looking at an old photo of himself and Abigail and reassured him about “Abigail’s” (AnnaLynne McCord) identity following a DNA match. Abigail met Dr. Mark Greene, who helped her maintain the pretense of being Abigail DiMera.
Chad confronted “Abigail” about her memory, but she felt stressed and threatened to leave. Chad apologized and asked her to come home.
Brady’s car, damaged by the accident, was discussed with Kristen, who suggested that Brady show compassion to Sarah. Tate injured his ankle but was assured by Mark that it was only a sprain.
As Tate used crutches in the hospital, he and Holly avoided family members, and Brady, spotting his son, looked shocked.

As Tate and Holly tried to sneak out of the hospital, they ran into Brady, who was shocked to see Tate on crutches and with Holly. Tate admitted he had stayed on Smith Island instead of attending lacrosse camp.
In the hospital, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) shared with Sarah her own experience of grief and adjustment after losing her parents, encouraging Sarah to accept her feelings and adapt to her new reality.
Jada informed Xander they had a suspect in Sarah’s hit-and-run case but couldn’t reveal the suspect’s identity. Xander, frustrated, tried to force the information from her but ultimately apologized.
Kristen, speaking to Stefano’s portrait, revealed she had flattened Brady’s car to protect their family. EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) questioned her story and warned her not to share secrets aloud. Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) discussed their worries about Brady’s involvement in the accident.

EJ instructed Jada to arrest Brady after learning that Brady was the primary suspect. Kristen overheard the conversation and was upset. At the townhouse, Marlena expressed regret for not intervening earlier in Brady’s life.
In the hospital, Tate and Holly were unhappy about the events, while Xander reassured Holly that the blame rested with the driver. Finally, Brady arrived at the police station, surrendering himself as Jada called for an arrest warrant.

Xander prepared to move Sarah to the mansion and agreed to let his mother move in. Xander supported Sarah’s decision to adapt to her new life and helped her into a wheelchair.
John, worried about Brady’s potential involvement in Sarah’s accident, waited for a return call from Brady and consulted Paul (Christopher Sean), who saw Brady pour a drink but didn’t consume it. John feared the worst.
At the police station, Brady confessed to Jada that he had been driving the car that hit Sarah, driven by guilt and a desire to set an example for his son. Jada advised him to call his attorney. Justin questioned Brady about the incident, and he admitted to being drunk and having a vague memory of hitting Sarah. Justin advised him to stick to the facts and not fully confess.
John and Marlena learned that Brady was the driver who hit Sarah. Jada told Xander that Brady had been drinking, and Xander found Brady at the Salem PD and attacked him in anger. Jada and Justin stopped the fight, and Xander vowed that Brady would face severe consequences.
