On today’s Days of our Lives, Sloan Petersen and Belle decide to shelve their mutual animosity — for a whole five minutes — and work together towards a common goal.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Leo (Greg Rikaart) read Xander (Paul Telfer) for filth while Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) got to know each other even better. Also, the brothers DiMera careened towards an inevitable face-to-face. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Sloan Petersen And Belle — Attorneys At Law
As a new day dawned, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) had a question for Eric (Greg Vaughan) — “Was last night the best sex of your life?”
In lieu of a response, Eric hemmed and hawed, and then he insisted that he doesn’t kiss and tell. After grousing that Eric would if it had been, Sloan demanded another shot, and Eric happily obliged.
Post coitus, Sloan decided that it was incredibly demeaning to compete with one of her lover’s exes and that the subject would never again be broached. For that, Eric thanked her.

With that, the conversation veered in the direction of Eric’s legal woes. Luckily, Sloan’s pretty darn confident in her ability to see him walk away a free man.
But no sooner did those self-assured words pass her lips than bad news came through her beeper: Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) is adding a whole slew of charges, including attempted murder!
When Eric panickily wonders why such a thing has come to pass, Sloan relays that it could…might…possibly be all her fault. After all, she’d ordered Melinda to throw the metaphorical book at Eric. But that was then, this is now, and Sloan has a plan!
Opposite this, in the pub directly beneath Eric’s boudoir, Belle (Martha Madison) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) munched their breakfast and debated the hardline that Belle has taken with Eric.
Brady postulated that Marlena (Deidre Hall) wouldn’t approve of the siblings’ estrangement and encouraged reconciliation. Belle wouldn’t hear of it…but she was curious as to who was representing Eric and his interests. To say that she was put out to learn that her brother’s counsel was “that horrible, heartless bitch” Sloan — would be an understatement.
When the news reached her of Melinda’s mercenary tactics, Belle went into immediate legal eagle mode — and as far as to conscript Sloan to her efforts; common interests and all that.
Firstly, they summon Stefan. Well, Sloan does the actual summoning, but at least they both hit upon the same idea. Upon arrival, Stefan was inundated with arguments as to why he should drop all the charges against “The Brothers Grimm,” and he eventually relented…not that he actually thanked Eric and Brady for what they did to him. But it did work out in the end.
DAYS Recap: Out With The Old
Surprised as he was to find Leo snug as a bug in a rug in his office at The Spectator, Xander was even more surprised by Leo’s assumption that he and Gwen had spent the night together.
Realizing that that was very much not the case, Leo couldn’t help but wonder just who it was that Gwen was having sexy times with — those moans were unmistakable! Also, why wasn’t it Xander in the room contributing to said vocalization?
That necessitated Xander’s explanation of how he found himself unable to commit to Gwen in spite of the official dissolution of his marriage, and that explanation earned Xander Leo’s wrath.
“The entire time you’ve known Gwen, you’ve treated her like she’s a second fiddle to that skinny, snooty Sarah Horton! And now, even though that skinny, snooty woman has given you the heave-ho, left town to get away from you, you still treat Gwen like she’s a damn afterthought! Like she could never measure up to your standards, which is completely absurd given that you are a total swine with the soul the size of a pea!!”
With that, Leo barreled out of the room, intent on stopping his bestie from, “doing something she might regret.”
In the meantime, Gwen was regretting her “terrible, terrible” decision to sleep with Alex…until she very much wasn’t. In fact, the randy twosome quickly regrouped and got around to round two.
A third round was on offer, but the need to get up and running and into their respective offices saw Gwen sprinting for the shower and a stark-naked Alex replenishing his energy with a piping hot cup of Joe — the latter was a sight that Leo most decidedly did not object to.
What Leo did take exception to was the fact that Alex wasn’t there for his pleasure and that an emergency at The Spectator prevented Gwen from relaying any salacious information about her and Alex’s hot ‘n’ steamy encounter(s).
At company HQ, Gwen was surprised to find Xander ready to tackle the problem for which she’d been summoned and took the opportunity to pointedly reveal that she’d hit the sheets with his cousin. Meanwhile, a seriously peeved Alex decided to use the opportunity provided to him to confront weaselly Leo about costing him the CEOship of Titan.
Brother Vs. Brother
EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) was the worse for wear in light of his most recent drugging, so Nicole (Arianne Zucker) suggested that he just confront Stefan and get everything out in the open. EJ agreed that that was probably the most sensible thing to do…especially now that — thanks entirely to Johnny (Carson Boatman) — Stefan is well aware of what’s going on.
Sometime later, after a shower for two, EJ and Nicole resolved to meet Stefan as a united front, then learned that he’d been called away on urgent business. But Johnny was still home, and he had an opinion that he wanted to impart to his pops: Call this feud quits, Just be done with it; he’d already said exactly the same thing to Stefan, and he was hoping someone sees sense.
For his part, EJ agreed that things were about to come to a head. There will be a reckoning. Oh yes, a reckoning.
