On today’s Days of our Lives, Gabi Hernandez brains brain-damaged Stefan DiMera. Yeah, it does seem a bit counterintuitive, but that’s Gabi for you.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition to the assault committed by Gabi, apologetic Wendy (Victoria Grace) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) made their respective rounds, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) had problems believing what she read, and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) forced Chanel (Raven Bowens) into admitting a most inconvenient truth. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Gabi Hernandez Gets Down To Business
The last person that Gabi wanted to see at her front door was Wendy, but there she was. At least she came bearing lilies and another apology. Gabi loves lilies and apologies — especially when the latter ones are sincere. And Wendy is sorry. So very, very sorry. How can Gabi continue to hold a grudge against her would-be-sister-in-law after that? She can’t.
Okay, all is forgiven. Moving swiftly on to an update on Gabi’s recent woes: Stefan is once again very much against her. Damn him. If only Gabi could get her beloved deprogrammed. That would solve everything. But what is she to do now that Marlena (Deidre Hall) is dead? It’s not like there’s some other doctor in the whole country qualified to do what she could…or something like that. Oh, and it would also help if Stefan was still interested in having his brainwashing reversed.

Hmm, ponders Wendy. It’s too bad that Gabi can’t just force Stefan into submitting to the procedure. Sure, he’s saying right now, but if Gabi just made him do it, then he’d thank her in the long run…or something like that.
Brilliant thinking, Gabi declares. Yes, she’ll do exactly that. So, it’s off to the DiMera manse where she KO’s Stefan — and right in the middle of his villainous soliloquy too.
DOOL Recap: Stefan DiMera Plots His Revenge
Speaking of Stefan…contrary to the impression that EJ (Dan Feuerrigel) is under, he hasn’t forgiven his brother’s subterfuge. In fact, Stefan’s made up his mind to drug EJ in the hopes that his subsequent loopy actions will result in his permanent ousting from the family company. Cold. Ice cold.
EJ didn’t even score any points with his brother when he did his bidding and fired Li (Remington Hoffman) from DiMera. Sure, Li was disappointed he lost his leverage since EJ told Stefan he knew what Li did, but that didn’t stop Li from threatening to get his father involved. EJ made it pretty clear that wouldn’t help him much. Never cross a DiMera. Poor Li will never learn.
But back to an ungrateful Stefan — no sooner had he spiked EJ’s mimosa than Gabi came in from behind and smacked him upside the head. Now there’s a dosed refreshment just sitting out in the open for anyone to imbibe. Only in soapland.
Johnny DiMera Clears The Air With Tripp
The night previous, Johnny decked Tripp (Lucas Adams) something fierce, and now he’s thought better of it. To be clear, he’s very apologetic for what he’s done, and he hopes that Tripp will forgive him. Tripp does. Tripp’s a great guy like that. Plus, Tripp was the one who swung the first punch, so…there’s that. Live and let live the men decide. How adult of them.
Wendy stopped by to check on Tripp and was pleasantly surprised to hear that Johnny had been by and apologized for the awful things he said about Tripp’s mom and for throwing that punch. Wendy was sure it had to hurt, but when she touched it, Tripp made it clear he was feeling no pain.
Days of our Lives Recap: Clearing The Air Pt. 2
Decidedly less adult, Allie demanded that Chanel admits that she still has feelings for Johnny, then didn’t thank her for it when she woman-upped and did just that. Allie also didn’t thank Chanel for rightfully pointing out that she might not have turned to Johnny if she had her girlfriend’s support during her own trying times.
Sloan Marks Her Territory
Sloan’s not exactly sure what she found the most perturbing: Marlena’s seemingly libel-riddled obituary — they called her lover’s mother a serial killer? Really?! — or Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) looking awful cozy.
Of course, Sloan had no way of knowing that Nicole was merely offering her ex-husband her condolences, but she really didn’t like the idea of the two of them getting friendly. But what to do? Why, saunter over and return Eric’s phone of course. You know, the phone that he left in her bed. Her bed…where they’d just had sex. Again. Take that, Nicole!
