Eavesdropping Brings Sloan Petersen To A Family Reunion

On today’s Days of our Lives, Sloan Petersen overhears some telling information that puts her on a collision course with her baby brother.

In addition, Nicole once again confided her woes in Anna (Leann Hunley) while Talia (Aketra Sevillian) put the moves on poor unsuspecting Chanel (Raven Bowens). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives: Sloan Petersen Can’t Catch A Break

Opposite Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) getting a good look at Eric’s (Greg Vaughan) bruised and battered face and swearing that she didn’t spitefully out his and Nicole’s dalliance to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), Jada (Elia Cantu) banged on Colin’s (Jasper Newman) door until he finally answered.

Immediately unimpressed with the UK transplant, Jada demanded an explanation for Xander’s (Paul Telfer) and Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) claim that they’d seen Talia exiting that exact hotel room.

Colin insisted that he had no idea who Talia was and that Xander was a “wanker” — a general term of contempt used by a plethora of Brits. Jada wasn’t easily convinced — at least about Colin not knowing Chanel — and requested Colin’s name — first and last. He offered Colin Firth.

A seething Jada then asked for I.D. only to be rebuked. Subsequent threats to return with a warrant hardly cowed Colin.

Meanwhile, at the local cop shop, Paulina (Jackée Harry) groused about the latest threatening text message sent her way and insisted that Rafe round up Public Enemy #1 Sloan, “lock up that bottle blonde bitch and throw away the key.”

Rafe, however, wanted a little something more to go on before sending out the calvary. Any physical evidence would do. Any proof of any kind.

The Commish then floated the idea that Sloan might not even be the person harassing Paulina, resulting in her decrying that and the theory that Talia might somehow be involved.

Talia is a lovely young woman, Paulina observed. Hardworking, smart, and kind to boot. She can’t possibly be behind the hate campaign…”unlike that psychopath Sloan Petersen who came to town with the express purpose of getting revenge on me and my baby girl.”

Despite his better instincts, Rafe called Sloan down to the station and questioned her about the threatening missive. Sloan again declared her innocence, then suggested that Paulina “watch her back,” seeing as how there were two people out to get her.

Afterward, Paulina griped that Sloan had used a phrase right out of the text, but Rafe dismissed it as mere coincidence.

Days of our Lives Recap: Sloan Petersen Is Reunited With Colin

Sometime later, having realized that she’d left her phone, Sloan returned to the scene of her interrogation and overheard Jada filling Rafe in about “the British guy” staying in room 106 at The White Dove — the one who’s “not the kind of trouble any girl needs.”

Minutes later, Sloan herself was banging down Colin’s door.

Having awoken from a dream in which Eric snuck into her bedroom to discuss her pregnancy and the possibility that he’s the baby’s father, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) found herself treated to breakfast in bed courtesy of EJ.

Sensing that something was very much amiss, EJ wondered if Nicole was all right and questioned whether she’d been entirely honest with him the night previous. Nicole said that she was — “crazy dream” aside — and that she had been. It’s just that she’s not “thrilled about [her] current condition.”

That prompted EJ to compare Nicole to a fine wine that “gets better with age” and then explained that, with every passing day, he finds her more and more intoxicating. Nicole thanked EJ for his words…and for his understanding about the “Eric situation.” EJ said that there’s no reason why they can’t forget all about it and move on.

Post meal, Nicole readied for her day at the office and bid a concerned Anna enter. Anna quired Nicole’s state, and Nicole granted that she was fine physically…but emotionally, she wasn’t too sure. When Anna pried further, Nicole admitted that the secret she shared a few weeks earlier had been outed by that “awful Sloan Petersen,” causing Anna to observe, “Wow, EJ knows, and he hasn’t blown a gasket? That’s one for the books.”

But there was a new wrinkle, a new secret that Nicole’s keeping from EJ. ” I’m pregnant, and I don’t know if the father is EJ or Eric.”

Though she was thrilled by the sight of a bouquet bearing Talia at her front door, Chanel couldn’t help but wonder why and what for. After all, their date the night before had been a might awkward, what with Talia’s standoffishness.

Talia chalked that up to nerves, and not simply because she’d been on her first date with a woman, but because she’s not really had experience being on any kind of romantic evening before, be it with a boy or a girl.

Chanel was incredulous. Talia? Really? Surely her fine self was beating suitors off with sticks. Talia demurred that that wasn’t the case. She’d been much too much of a studious bookworm to bother with all that. But she was ready to bother now…with Chanel…if Chanel was game. And Chanel was very much game.

Days of our Lives Recap: Confession Is Good For The Soul

Back at the DiMera manse, while EJ explained to Tony (Thaao Penghlis) that Nicole’s secret hadn’t had anything to do with her booking them a secret couple’s weekend or her purchasing him that timepiece he had his eye on but rather that she’d slept with Eric [but hey, at least there’s nothing that ties the exes together!], Anna questioned which man Nicole hoped was the father of her baby.

Admitting that it sounded all kinds of terrible, Nicole blubbered that she didn’t know who she wanted to be the proud papa.

Off that conversation, Anna decided to alleviate some of her heavy burden by confessing to Tony and EJ that she’d been well aware of the fact that Nicole and Eric had slept together. Phew! What a load off.

Nicole left the DiMera mansion and headed to the Brady Pub. Outside, she made a call to Kayla, wanting to discuss the paternity DNA test she was hoping to schedule. Nicole heard someone exit the pub, and when she turned around, there was Eric.
