The DAYS spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 28, 2022, sees two characters rushed to University Hospital. Neither is particularly well liked, but at least one of them got visitors who expressed concern for their wellbeing. The other received nothing but death threats!
Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) is back home, safe and sound — luckily, she didn’t hurt herself while driving inebriated…or did she? After all, someone — and we’re not outright accusing anyone mind you — plowed into Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) WHILE SHE WAS STANDING RIGHT OUTSIDE THE POLICE STATION!

Now, in the real world, a simple perusal of the plethora of mounted security cameras would prove definitively whether or not that hit-and-run driver was Jennifer, but this is a soap opera, so it has to be an (easily solvable) mystery for now.
As it stands, the storyline is now less about Jennifer, her mental collapse, and her addiction, and is now more about Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and the decision that he has to make: does he share his suspicion that his wife might be responsible for his daughter’s predicament, or does he do right by Jennifer and keep mum?
An obstinate Clyde Weston (James Read) refused to die, despite the bullet lodged in his back and the DiMera brothers’ outright refusal to call an ambulance. After being rushed to the hospital courtesy of Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), Clyde proceeded to backtrack on the story he spun Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and insisted that he had no earthly idea why he was in the frame for Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder. Right…hmm.
When you get right down to it, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) are as responsible for what happened to Abigail as Clyde — EJ because he played God and refused to squeal on Clyde’s machinations, and Belle because she insisted on coming clean about said machinations. But don’t worry, Chad doesn’t hold a grudge. All is forgiven and forgotten.
Given that she just reckoned with — and barely so — Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) not-so-distant past, the last thing Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) needed was to see her hubs will Gwen back from the brink, but will Xander did.
