The DAYS spoilers recap for Friday, October 7, 2022, seems determined to prove two adages — “to get over someone you need to get underneath someone else” and “when you assume, it makes an ass of you and me” — more than correct.
Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) is in mourning for her mother’s waning health, and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is in mourning for his slaughtered wife, so why shouldn’t they comfort each other with their mouths? No, really, we want you to list the reasons why these two should go no further because they are legion.

And not the least of which is because it makes Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) a very sad man. He’s still crushing hard on Stephanie, and the sight of her tenderly touching Chad just about broke his heart — thank goodness he wasn’t present for the kiss!
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has been making many assumptions as of late, and he got one fact particularly wrong. Turns out Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) aren’t a couple after all. That was all in Eej’s dirty little mind.
However, he did hit the nail on the head when it comes to Ava and her marriage to Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash). Turns out it was a farce from the get-go, which means that Ava is entitled to nothing of Jake’s. Chalk this up as a score for EJ!
In case you’re behind, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) were on hand to fill in any blanks, especially when it comes to Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall), Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) who have been poisoned by a madman and are slowly dying.
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) could scarcely believe what Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) just ran by her. Should they really invite Alex into their bed for sexytimes? Chanel was dubious…until she wasn’t.
Ambulance chasing lawyer — and that’s the second nicest thing that Abe could think to call her — Sloan Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) has in her possession proof that Chanel has done a bad, bad thing — a thing that could impact not only Chanel’s freedom but Paulina’s campaign for governor. All of that simply will not do.
