Whenever joy is sensed, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) appears to snuff it out — especially if said joy is being experienced by the man who was once stupid enough to love her and choose her above all others.

Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) sure is learning his lesson the hard way. Perhaps he should have listened to his father…and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall)…his brother…his ex…his other ex…Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk)…really anybody and everybody who warned him away from the She-Devil.
But listen he did not. As a result, Kristen has been hanging around his neck like a mad albatross for quite some time, and now she’s forcing him to break the heart of the woman who he loves. Kristen really does enjoy her work.

DOOL Recap: Minor Complications
The first dose of Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) magic elixir did the trick, even if there were a few…side effects. Side effects that included racing heartbeat, shortness of breath, and, in Kayla Brady Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) case, momentary loss of life.
But the trio of ailing femmes isn’t out of the woods just yet. They still need a second dose and maybe a booster — why does that sound so familiar? — so it’ll be up to Brady to keep Kristen sweet and in the mood to dole all that out.
DAYS Spoilers Recap: Lonely Hearts
It’s been a while since Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) had a deep conversation. In fact, the last time they spoke, he was accusing her of stabbing his wife to death, but they’re past that.
Besides, Chad needs someone, anyone, to confide his newfound attraction for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and his fear that he’ll never be able to love her because his heart will always ache for Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). After being suitable reassured, Chad phoned Stepanie, and she was mighty glad that he did. She can’t wait to see him again…at the office, of course…where they both work.
