The DAYS spoilers recap for Thursday, July 28, 2022, features quick thinking, a ghostly encounter, twenty-somethings acting like children, and more.
DAYS Spoilers Recap Highlights
Despite no longer having a real affinity for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus), Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) did warn her that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was gunning for the top spot at DiMera Enterprises. And if that wasn’t enough to upset Gabi, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) called with the news of Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) death.

Off to the hospital, Gabi ran, and in Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) vicinity, she did get. Color her shocked to realize that Jake and Ava had become engaged just prior to his shooting. But perhaps they’d become more than that, Gabi questioned.
Maybe they actually went whole hog and married, which would mean that the recently widowed Ava would inherit Jake’s DiMera shares…which would mean that she could vote to retain Gabi as DiMera CEO. Is that something that happened? Huh? Huh, Ava? Is it something that happened? Could that have been something that happened?

DOOL Recap: One Or The Other
Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) needs her mama’s help. Turns out that choosing between Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) isn’t as easy as sitting down and deciding whether she “preferred penis to vagina” or vice versa; it took Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) a few minutes to get her head around that one, but she rallied. And when it was all said and done, Chanel had made her decision.
Days of our Lives Recap: This House Is Not A Home
In addition to his shares in DiMera Enterprises, EJ wants Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to kick rocks. Chad put up a bit of a fight, but only just. After having a good hard think, he decided that it was the best thing for him and the kids. Who wants to be stuck in a mansion that’s full of memories of his dead wife? Plus, EJ is there. Yuck! This really hurt EJ’s feelings, because he had a think and decided that he wanted his brother to stay put. Aww.
DOOL Recap: The Children’s Hour
Even though they are supposed to be grown, Allie and Johnny spent their day acting like children – and using good, innocent pie as weapons. Here’s hoping that Chanel decides that she’s better off on her lonesome than choosing one of these disasters.
DAYS Spoilers Recap: From Beyond
When Jake’s spirit graced Ava with his presence, she slapped it across the face and read it the riot act. Way to look a gift horse in the mouth, Ava! Far from chagrined, Jake – or “Jake” as the case should probably be – laughed it all off and encouraged Ava to keep on living her best life and to move on…after a suitable period of mourning, of course!
