The DAYS spoilers recap for Thursday, August 4, 2022, features Jack Deveraux FINALLY getting wise to his eldest’s manipulations, Chad DiMera continuing his downward spiral, Paulina *gasp* putting her foot in it, and more.
DAYS Spoilers Recap Highlights
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) swung by the Horton abode ostensibly to check on her pops and assure him that she didn’t pursue the pardon granted her. Jack (Matthew Ashford) didn’t thank her for her efforts.

Turns out Jack’s finally seen the light where Gwen is concerned. He sees her for EXACTLY who she is, and that is not a very nice person. He especially didn’t want to hear Gwen drone on about how she wants the Salem Police Department to do right by Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller).
DOOL Recap: Not So Happy Wife, Not So Happy Life
Open mouth, insert foot. But seriously, how was Paulina (Jackée Harry) supposed to know that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), who moons over Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) every time he’s in the vicinity, was now Mrs. Rafe Hernandez? Had Nicole come to Paulina earlier, Paulina would have told her to follow her heart’s (obvious) desire – or, at the very least, she would have pointed Rafe (Galen Gering) in the direction of an appropriately-sized engagement ring.
Days of our Lives Recap: A Friend In Need, A Friend Indeed
Chad (Billy Flynn) is in a bad way. Like, drink away the afternoon bad. Like confuse Smitty the bartender for Schmitty the bartender bad. Who does he think he is? Karen Walker?! Good thing for Chad that Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) doesn’t have anything better to do than help his buddy out.

DOOL Recap: Swipe Right
Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) doesn’t seem to have a problem buying that hypnosis led to Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) remembering seeing Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) at the DiMera manse the night Abigail was murdered, but she sure does have a problem buying that hypnosis led to Sarah remembering she has an alibi.
Maybe it’s because that calls her theory that Sarah is a killer into question. Maybe it’s because the very male, very aggressive Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) was the one to bring the fact to her attention.
Either way, Jada isn’t buying what’s being sold. What she would buy, however, is dinner, for Eric. If he’s interested, which he is.
DAYS Spoilers Recap: Maskerade
While we’re on the subject of Sarah, Salem’s junior Ms. Marple, it should be noted that she too has Gwen’s number…and a theory that she escaped from Statesville, donned a Sarah mask, and stabbed her sister. As it stands, Sarah has correctly deduced the furlough from Statesville and the fact that she does indeed have such an item. As for whether or not Gwen’s a murdering murderer, stay tuned!
