Please don’t question how a quite literally heartless man survived for four years with no one tending to him or his machines. It didn’t bother Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) all that much, so it shouldn’t bother you.

Secrets aren’t good for a relationship, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) has learned this lesson the hard way in the past, so she’s going to take a new tack with Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) — total honesty.
Much to her delight, Li’s all in on her and Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) plan to lie about the latter’s marital status so that she can inherit Jake’s shares in DiMera Enterprises. In fact, Li’s jealous that he didn’t come up with something so brilliant himself. Celebration sex follows.

After unleashing on an insincere Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison), Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) immediately walks his claim back and apologizes for being upset that his child was taken away from him. Still, it’s no excuse for being mean to Belle who’s been nothing but supportive from the jump. Insert eye-roll emoji.

Having condescended to Ava and stared at her as though she were human garbage, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) was suddenly forced to go on the charm offensive once he learned that she and Jake might actually be wed. And, in the spirit of keeping one’s family close, and pretenders to the throne closer, EJ invited Ava to move into the DiMera compound. It was an offer Ava decided not to refuse.
