In this episode, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) lords her considerable power over Brady (Eric Martsolf) — who’s more determined than ever to end their forced arraignment, Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) share a too-close moment, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) may have stumbled on Brady’s truth, and several mismatched couples take the Horton Town Scare Festival by storm. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
DOOL Recap: Battlements Armed
It may seem that Kristen has emerged the victor in her and Brady’s war, but Brady is insistent that she’s merely won a battle. After all, she may have wormed her way into the home that he shares with his father and stepmother, and their daughter may be the happiest she’s been in quite some time — mostly because she’s getting her own way and not being made to mind — but Kristen will never again have what she truly wants: Brady’s love and affection.
What he once felt for her has long ago shriveled upped and died. In fact, he wishes that he’d never laid eyes on her! He rues the day. RUES IT! But poor Brady still had to go to the Square dressed as the king and take the evil queen Kristen, along with Princess Rachel.
Days of our Lives Recap: Not So Sweet Nothings
Though thrilled that his lady love is none the wiser to his subterfuge, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) was aghast that his partner-in-crime — one Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) — had the temerity to put his hands on, and a syringe full of drugs into Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) in order to facilitate her convenient amnesia, and he let Rolf know it in no uncertain terms.

For his efforts, Li was nearly rumbled. Maybe this will teach him to have heated phone calls mere feet away from the woman he’s trying to snow…probably not, but maybe. Luckily for Li, he was able to distract Gabi with sex. Unluckily for Li, Gabi chose to spend the afterglow talking about her ex-husband; a mood killer if there ever was one.

DOOL Recap: Croissants Are A Girl’s Best Friend
In an effort to cheer Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) right out of her “I Lost Brady” funk, Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) treated her to her breakfast full of pastries and…nope, that was it. A tower full of pastries. Good pastries. No, great pastries. So good that they almost did the trick. Almost.
DAYS Recap: Photo Finish
All Nicole wanted to do was take her daughter trick or treating in a public square, but to her horror, she got stuck at Basic Black, where she was photographed by her ex-husband while modeling some scarlet lingerie. Oh, how she hated being stuck at Basic Black, in her scarlet lingerie, getting told how fabulous she looked by her camera-wielding ex. It was almost too much to bear.
DOOL Recap: Confidentially Speaking
John and Marlena have got problems, serious problems; problems bigger than the mess made in their kitchen by Kristen, the overzealous pancake maker. How are they supposed to cohabitate with the woman who did them so wrong so often in the past? And what is Brady thinking, dumping Chloe for Crazy K? Surely there must be more to the story.
After having a good long think on it — coupled with having caught Brady having a little rummage through Kristen’s belongings earlier in the day — John formulated a theory: what if, and go with him on this one, what if Kristen is/was holding the cure for what ails/ailed Marlena and co. and her price is proximity to Brady?
No, no that couldn’t be it, declared Marlena fairly authoritatively. Wouldn’t Brady have just dumped Kristen on her keister once everybody got better? No, John was just clutching at straws. His son just has bad taste in women and is stupid.
DAYS Recap: Anywhere But Here
With Nicole indisposed, Chloe and Stefan took it upon themselves to frolic with Holly Jonas. Their reward was running smack dab into Li and Gabi and Arianna and later Brady and Kristen and Rachel. The whole enterprise was as awkward as could be.
