The DAYS recap for Friday, November 25, 2022, featured a sign from the beyond, proof of life after death…or something. Could have just been a perilously placed piece of plastic.
DAYS Recap Highlights
In this episode, Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) — the supernatural world’s most favorite punching bag — receives an out of this world hint that all might be well with Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk). Elsewhere, Nicole Walker Soon-To-Be-No-Longer-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) pushed her rival over the metaphorical edge, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) had his guilt assuaged by Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), and Sarah Horton Cook (Linsey Godfrey) put two and two together and came up with “my man must be a kidnapper!” Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Doll Baby
Susan has been on Marlena’s mind as of late — what with her dying and all — so she welcomed the distraction of her heavily burdened son and the news that he was about to become a proud papa to a baby that he’d share with a woman who was far from his biggest fan.
It might have something to do with the fact that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) entered into his relationship with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) under false pretenses — he was very much not over his ex-wife, no matter how much espoused the contrary — or the fact that she walked in on Eric locking lips with Nicole, or a combo of the two.

Still, Eric was gratified that the two of them had decided to act like adults and come together to raise the baby that they made; Marlena was equally so. But what to do about Nicole? How was she going to react to all this? Maybe, Marlena opined, that’s something that Eric should get to the bottom of.
Aye aye, said Eric, and off he set, leaving Marlena alone with her thoughts and a book that she wasn’t entirely interested in. But what’s this?! The Marlena doll that Susan handcrafted and that Marlena had put in pride of place on the mantle suddenly took to tumble to the floor. Gasp! Is Susan trying to reach Marlena? Maybe. Anything’s possible.
DOOL Recap: Visiting Hours
The last person that Jada wanted to see was Nicole, and the last thing that she wanted to do was listen to Nicole make some kind of sense — but Nicole was right on the money; Jada hasn’t really thought through her decision to keep her baby and raise it with Eric.
It will affect her job something fierce, and it is going to be hella tough co-parenting with a man she has little respect and little love for. Plus, there’s the Nicole factor. Yep, that settles it. A termination it is. Done and dusted, no need to discuss the matter with Eric any further.
DAYS Recap: Taking Stock
Sarah wants to see the good in Xander, really she does. But when Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) came a calling — bearing Thanksgiving dinner leftovers and horror stories about the family meal that wasn’t thanks entirely to a PTSD suffering Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans) –and mentioned the muscle bound, clown mask wearing psycho running around kidnapping ladies — well, two ladies in particular — was clad in a blue suit, all Sarah good think was, “Huh, my husband has muscles and he has a blue suit.” Coincidence? Maggie sure thinks so. Sarah…not so much.
Days of Our Lives Recap: Talk Of The Town
The normally unflappable EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is at his wit’s end, so the last thing person that he wanted to run into was Rafe “Dudley Do Right” Hernandez (Galen Gering), and the last thing that he wanted to do was actually talk to him — but talk the men did, and it was actually…pleasant? EJ even *gasp* empathized with Rafe over his being abandoned by Nicole. Wonders never will cease.
DOOL Recap: Trust Issues
Rather than confess his shady dealings to his wife, Xander hustled over to Horton House and poured everything out to Gwen, who assured him that he wasn’t a bad person — misguided, sure, but not bad — and that Susan’s blood wasn’t on his hands. Also, she swore that she’d keep his secret.
Xander was most appreciative and wholly relieved. Then he went back to the hotel room he shared with Sarah, and she demanded that he tell her whether or not he was the one who kidnapped Bonnie and Susan. Talk about a mood killer.
