DAYS Recap For December 2: Kristen DiMera Plays Brady Like A Fiddle

The DAYS recap for Thursday, December 1, 2022, provides proof positive that a leopard — or leopardess in Kristen DiMera’s case — really can’t change its spots.

DAYS Recap Highlights

In this episode, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) worked overtime to ingratiate herself to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) played career advisor to Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), and Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) got the wrong end of the stick. Elsewhere, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) decided to drown his sorrows, while Nicole Walker Soon-To-No-Longer-Be-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker), and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) did much the same — with each other. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Long Con

Were Brady’s eyes deceiving him, or was an alive and well Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) standing before him in the townhouse that he shares with his dad, stepmother, former lover, and young daughter? The former, definitely the former.

Turns out Susan is still dead — maybe, the jury’s out — and it was Kristen doing her pitch-perfect impersonation; the girl’s still got it!

Now, before Brady gets all snippy, Kristen wanted him to know that she actually had a darn good reason for doing what she’s doing…she’s going to go and visit EJ. And no, no she’s not going to go taunt and/or haunt him — she merely wants to appear before him as a vision of his mother to assure him that her death is most decidedly not his fault…it is, but it’s the thought that counts.

Color Brady pretty impressed. Who would have thought that Kristen had such compassion within her? Certainly not him. His opinion of her couldn’t get any lower. So, it’s probably a good thing that Brady wasn’t in the room when Kristen monologued to herself that she actually had no intention of lightening EJ’s load. She’d been dressing as Susan for giggles, and she made up that excuse to endear herself to Brady, and it worked! What a baddie!

DOOL Recap: Out Of The Mouth Of Babes

Speaking of Kristen and her bad ways, she’s been filling little Rachel’s (Finley Rose Slater) head with thoughts of her and Brady tying the knot, and Rachel couldn’t be more thrilled with the idea of Mommy and Daddy getting married again. In point of fact, it’s the one thing that she wants for Christmas.

“Weddings aren’t a thing that Santa Claus can deliver,” Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) gently explained, but she was summarily rebuffed with a sharp, “Why not, he’s giving you a grandbaby?” Oh, if only they all knew.

Days of our Lives Recap: Agree To Disagree

Eric isn’t going to be a father, and he’s spitting mad. So mad, in fact, that he tore a strip off Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) — who didn’t like having his idea of Eric and Nicole once again serve as cover models shot down — and guzzled a glass full of top-shelf liquor. But don’t worry, he said he’s not an alcoholic. Just a man who once got so blitzed he caused a multi-car pileup that left one dead, Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) with an addiction to painkillers, and Brady in need of a heart transplant.

DOOL Recap: It’s Not What It Looks Like

What began as a concerted effort to do damage control in the wake of Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) arrest ended with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) scrambling to release a statement after Paulina Price Carver’s (Jackée Harry) indictment. Oh, and there was a hug. A big, emotional bear hug. A big, emotional bear hug that Alex, who Stephanie had to stand up in order to scramble, interrupted.

Days of our Lives Recap: Palsy-walsy

Having tried and failed to interest Alex in hiring him to work as his executive assistant — it may have had something to do with the inclusion of that photo of him in a bubble bath in his presentation — Leo was down and out. Enter Sir Sonny.

First, Sonny offered Leo the job of his executive assistant, then thought better of it. Next, he offered to help Leo find a job suitable to his *ahem* skillset. Joy of joys, they seemed to settle on something: book illustrator! Remember how talented an artist Leo is? Sonny remembers; Leo is touched.

DAYS Recap: Misery Loves Company

Nicole has had a no good, very bad day, what with the love of her life accusing her of talking his baby mama into getting an abortion, and EJ has had it equally as rough, what with his dead mother and all. The exes ran into each other at a local watering hole and confided their woes, and Nicole got an offer of sanctuary from EJ. On their way to the DiMera abode, they ran smack into Eric. Awkward!
