DAYS Recap For December 13: Rescued Bonnie Claims Xander’s A Hero

The DAYS recap for Tuesday, December 13, 2022, sees the number one suspect in a kidnapping turning into a hero overnight.

DAYS Recap Highlights

In this episode, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) helped elevate Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) standing in the community and divert the pointing finger of suspicion. Elsewhere, Nicole Walker Soon-To-No-Longer-Be-Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) got a right telling off from an emissary of G-d, Alexander Neil Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) cleared his conscience, and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) gained a new bedmate. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Suspicious Mind

Thanks entirely to Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) ingenuity and Leo’s clown school training — not to mention the costumes pilfered from Doug Williams’s (Bill Hayes) and Julie Olson Williams’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) closet — Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans) is now thoroughly convinced that Xander is her savior rather than her jailer…but boy did it take some convincing before hand.

Leo had to strut in all decked out in muscle padding and lifts, he and Xander had to tussle inside and outside of the room, and Bonnie was trussed up in. There was so much that could have gone wrong, given that not a bit of it was actually choreographed.

Despite being safe and sound and back home with her loved ones, Bonnie is still shaken up. So shaken up, in fact, that she declares to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) that she’ll be staying put inside the manse for the foreseeable future — at least until that clown is brought to justice.

For her part, Sarah Horton Cook (Linsey Godfrey) is thrilled to pieces that her husband isn’t a costumed kidnapper — though he actually is one — especially in light of the fact(s) that she clued Justin in on her suspicion that Xander was the fiend and came thisclose to telling Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) much the same.

DOOL Recap: Shame!

Leave it to Sister Mary Moria (Stacy Haiduk) *ahem* Aunt Sister Mary Moria to spin Nicole and EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) perfectly innocent nightcap into something untoward — and no, ASMM most certainly does not want to make the acquaintance of the “Godless tramp” sleeping in her sister’s bed.

Quickly growing tired of standing there and being insulted, Nicole launched into an impromptu confession of her most recent trespasses — adultery, impure thoughts, convincing another woman to get an abortion — that left ASMM clutching her rosery and so flummoxed that she had to retire for the evening. EJ was more than tickled. And has he mentioned that he’s just plain delighted that Nicole and Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) are living with him?

What do you think? Post a comment!

Nicole’s delighted as well, and she’ll probably remain so unless she becomes privy to the voyeur — Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), wethinks — watching her every move from the terrace.

DAYS Recap: Bed Buddies

Eric wiled away his evening in Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) company, serving up takeout Ethiopian delicacies, feeling all kinds of sorry for himself and besmirching Nicole.

When the time comes to excuse himself, Eric complains further, this time about not wanting to brave the Brady Pub lest he cross paths with, and yell at, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), so Sloan invites him to sleep with her — and by that, she means beside her, the same bed…but if they did end up having sex, she’d be okay with that too.

And how does Sloan know that she can trust Eric? Why, because he’s a Brady, of course. They don’t come better than Bradys…except Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Even Eric admits that his twin is an acquired taste.

Once the pair had ditched their duds and got under the covers, Sloan reflected on just how much they have in common — they’ve both been screwed over by people who assume they’ll roll and over and take it — then they got down to the business of making love!

DOOL Recap: What You Reap…

Alex had something to get off his chest, and he hoped that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) would accept it in the spirit in which it was intended: he’s really, really sorry that he suggested Nicole and Eric pose together for the cover of Bella magazine, and he really, really hopes that that didn’t contribute to Rafe and Nicole’s breakup.

Don’t worry about it, said Rafe. Water under the bridge. Great, replied Alex. If only Eric could be more like Rafe — there was absolutely no need for him to blow up on Alex just because he championed Eric and Nicole doing another photo session together. Hearing that tickled Rafe. Good, trouble in Paradise already.
