In the Days of our Lives recap for November 24, 2023, Nicole stands poised to reunite with the baby that was so cruelly snatched from her. That is, if Eric lets her hold him.
In addition, Leo’s luck took several interesting turns, and Stefan and Ava decided to make the best out of a bad situation. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
At University Hospital, a barely functioning Nicole (Arianne Zucker) demanded to see her son before departing the building. EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) insisted that Dr. Pierce comply with his wife’s wishes.
Opposite this, Melinda (Tina Huang) introduced Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) to the tyke that they were to adopt. Well, “adopt.” (You and Sloan know the score even if Eric doesn’t.) Eric took to his (literal) son in no time flat and vice versa, but Sloan had a tougher job creating a bond.

Upon returning to her hotel room, Melinda was accosted by Dr. Pierce. He relayed how Mr. and Mrs. DiMera wanted to see their baby and that he was at a loss. Melinda had a plan and sent the doc back with a story about how the baby was accidentally cremated.
In response, Nicole threatened cold-blooded murder, while EJ insisted that heads would roll. Pierce later comforted himself by extorting a further cash payment from Melinda and labeling her scheme, “sordid and depraved and rotten to the core.” At least they could agree that they hope to Hell it doesn’t backfire on them.
By happenstance, Nicole soon found herself running into Eric pushing their child in a stroller. Awkward small talk ensued and ended with Nicole asking for permission to hold the baby.
At the Salem Police Department, Leo (Greg Rikaart) learned that he was to be charged with felony murder. As for who died, it was EJ’s son. No, not Johnny (Carson Boatman). Nicole’s babe. Leo was aghast.
He argued he had nothing to do with the crash and everything to do with safely delivering the baby. Oh, how he and the baby bonded. Oh, how terribly upset he was. Though he claimed to only be upset by the baby’s death and not his own predicament, he did phone Sloan and beg her to get him out of his jam. Sloan assured him that she would do just that, then opened her door to find Dimitri (Peter Porte) leaning against the frame.
Ava (Tamara Braun) was seriously put off when Stefan (Brandon Barash) came calling. Even more so when he informed her that he was filling the void left by Gil — and not of his own accord. Whether they like it or not, they’re going to be working together…closely. The first order of business? Getting a copy of Harris’s (Steve Burton) keys made.
