In the Days of our Lives recap for October 24, 2023, Dimitri and Leo realize that they have to get the Hell out of Dodge — but they need to get their mitts on cold, hard cash first.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Ava found herself between a rock and a murderous place, Kate had to admit that she (sorta) misses being a bad girl, and Wendy snagged quite the job opportunity. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Under Cover
Though they’d managed to stash themselves in a no-tell motel on the outskirts of town (hopefully where no one would think to look for them), Leo (Greg Rikkart) still suffered a nightmare in which he and his boyfriend were captured. And, during a most inopportune moment.
That settled it. They were going to have to blow that particular popsicle stand. But, where to go? And, how to get there? They could go West. Or to Maui. Maybe, a destination where extradition wasn’t a worry seemed their best bet. Despite his many concerns, Leo had to (eventually) agree that if there was one person who could assist in their endeavor it was Megan (Miranda Wilson).

First, they’d have to find her and that would necessitate money. Lots and lots of money. Unfortunately, the pair only had $14.02 between them. Fortunately, Leo knew where they could get a big stack: his hotel room! Thank goodness for the petty cash doled out by The Spectator.
As for how they’d be able to traipse across town and collect the loot? Why not get in the Halloween spirit and join the other boys and ghouls in costume at the Horton Town Scare? It’s genius! Leo’s makeshift ghost costumes didn’t even set them back a penny.
DAYS Recap: Mother Courage
Ava’s (Tamara Braun) early morning was made even less tolerable by the appearance of one of Clyde’s (James Read) “associates” AKA Gil Carter. The pleasantries were skipped, loads of countering threats were exchanged, and in the end, Ava buckled. Yes, she’d accept Clyde’s deal. Anything to keep her baby boy safe.
Tripp (Lucas Adams) was thrilled for his mother — manager at The Bistro. Way to go! Wendy (Victoria Grace) was equally thrilled. Surely this means that they’ll get a family and friends discount.
DOOL Recap: Gainfully Employed
Speaking of newly acquired jobs, Wendy’s tech skills and ability to save Rafe’s (Galen Gering) hard drive netted her a place in the police department’s IT department, and Harris (Steve Burton) started his first shift as a Salem police officer.
The latter revelation surprised Kate (Lauren Koslow) to no end. Not because she didn’t believe in Harris, mind you. She just couldn’t get over the fact that Rafe hired someone who was courting the likes of Ava Vitali. And sure, Harris swore that the two of them were just friends, but Ms. Roberts wasn’t buying it.
Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) likewise found it hard to believe that Kate didn’t much miss all her past intrigue and scheming. Still, Kate insisted that being married to the ex-police commissioner beat living on the other side of the law.
