DAYS Recap: A Dirty Deal Ended Everett’s Career

In the Days of our Lives recap for November 28, 2023, Xander proves that, when all is said and done, the all-mighty dollar still runs his life.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

In addition, Alex overheard some sizzling hot gossip, and Steve did his utmost to convince Kayla and Sarah that Konstantin was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.

Cancellation Notice

Despite the decidedly lovely evening had by all, Chad (Billy Flynn) couldn’t stop himself from complaining about Everett’s (Blake Berris) mere presence at Thanksgiving. No sooner had Stephanie (Abigail Klein) managed to soothe her lover’s ego and agree to spend some quality alone time with him than Everett appeared and requested her assistance.

Chad complained again, but Everett revealed that he was in need of a troubleshooter, and Stephanie insisted that she must do her duty. That, of course, didn’t sit well with Chad. How dare his lover make her own decisions!

Meanwhile, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) swung by Xander’s (Paul Telfer) apartment, manila envelope in hand. Inside was Victoria’s birth certificate, newly updated with Xander’s name in the “Father” slot. But, there was yet more good news. Sarah had just arranged with Justin (Wally Kurth) for a split custody agreement to be drawn up. She and Xander would now share their daughter 50/50.

As for the possibility of the two of them ever making another real go of it? Well, she was keen, and he was keen and there’s still more than a spark between them. Anything could happen.

Over at The Spectator, Stephanie accidentally stumbled upon the ring that Everett intended to use to propose to her. Awkward! Opposite, Chad paid Xander a visit and offered him one heck of a deal: he’ll give Xander his share of the profits earned from purchasing Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) stake in the newspaper in exchange for Xander firing Everett. After thinking over the proposal for all of five seconds, Xander went and did just that. Awkward! Poor Everett was let go the minute Xander got to the office.

To Tell The Truth

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) dined out in the town square and the former bemoaned his new normal. Sure, he still thought of Justin (Wally Kurth) as his pops, and he still calls him dad, but it’s just not the same.

Talk soon turned to Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) whom Alex felt he should check on. It’s what Daddy Victor would want him to do. Also, isn’t it just awful what happened to Sarah? It boggles the mind that someone could just waltz into the mansion and abduct a baby like that. Alex hoped the kidnapper would pay and pay dearly.

Having been talked into joining Alex on his mission of mercy, Theresa stifled some bile when she introduced to Konstantin (John Kapelos) who insisted they’d met before — in the middle of town where she helpfully offered him direction.

Once alone with her partner-in-(multiple)crimes, Theresa gave Konstantin a good talking to. Konstantin, in turn, reminded Theresa that she had no room to talk. After all, she’s only after Alex to get her hands on his inheritance. That was news to Alex, who walked back into the room at the precise moment that accusation left Konstantin’s lips.

Fool’s Errand

At University Hospital, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) was heartened to get both a phone call from her youngest and a visit from her newly returned husband. After kisses were exchanged, Steve (Stephen Nichols) got down to the business of convincing Kayla that Konstantin was a no-good, very bad man.

Not only did he lie about that “antique tablecloth,” but he’s lied about everything else. He and Victor weren’t the best of friends, and Victor didn’t forgive the loan that he’d extended Konstantin. True to her forgiving nature, Kayla had excuses ready. Sarah even sang Konstantin’s praises when confronted with Steve’s findings.

Both women were left shocked when Steve floated the idea that Konstain arranged Victoria’s kidnapping. Why would he do such an evil thing?
