Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, August 22
Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) denigration of his work spurred Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) into honoring Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) request-cum-demand that he supplants Stefan O. DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) feelings for Gabi with ones for Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Before Rolf can begin his work, Stefan regains consciousness!
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) spins quite the yarn for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering): she confronted Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) with the intention of tricking her into believing she’d received yet another dose of Rolf’s memory scrambling potion and when the truth outed Abigail agreed to let Gwen turn herself back into Statesville.
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) wallows in his grief; Jennifer Rose Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain) attempts to be of some comfort… Kristen offers Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) her apologies, condolences, and a stirring pep talk, but he is unreceptive.
DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, August 23
Under the impression that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) intends to do Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) harm, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) trail her to a meeting with a mystery client. With the heroes otherwise occupied, Orpheus descends on his actual targets: Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
Rolf fills Stefan in on all that’s transpired since he entered a coma. Stefan tears out of the ramshackle infirmary and makes a beeline for DiMera manse where Gabi and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) are conspiring.
DOOL Recaps: Wednesday, August 24
Ava comes face-to-face with Stefan but mistakes him for Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash); she collapses from the shock. Upon coming to, Ava swears that her lover is alive and well but Li – who’d anesthetized Stefan and left him in Rolf’s charge – claims it was him that she saw.

Steve and John quickly realize their mistake – Stephanie’s potential client is none other than Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) – and take their leave. Paulina hires Steph to do the PR for Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) campaign for Governor… Orpheus’s goons make off with Marlena and Kayla.
Days of our Lives Recaps: Thursday, August 25
In order to save his own hide, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) insists that Gwen confessed to Abigail’s murder… Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) have an erotic dream about each other. Eric and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) make love. Nicole catches Jada half-clothed in Eric’s bedroom.
Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) orders Alexander Neil Kiriakis’s (Robert Scott Wilson) paramour, Sloan Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) out of his family’s abode due to her association with Leo, then takes his brother to task for his debauched lifestyle. Sonny proposes that Alex will soon meet the woman of his dreams. Afterward, Alex runs smack dab into Stephanie.
DOOL Recaps: Friday, August 26
Jada disabuses Nicole of the idea that she and Eric weren’t intimate. Nicole and Eric cop to having dreams starring the other, but neither reveals the sexual overtones… At her daughter’s insistence, Paulina made amends to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Birthday boy Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) learns that Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) made good on her promise to turn herself in for aiding and abetting Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo); he finally forgives her and agrees to give their romance another shot. Roman and Kate are joined in celebration by Abe and Paulina; a person unknown spies on the merriment.
Alex tells Allie and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) that he’s met the love of his life, though he fails to mention that he made a poor first impression… Sonny offers to hire Stephanie’s PR company; she hedges upon learning that Sonny and Alex are half-brothers before accepting.
