The Days of our Lives recap for Monday, March 8, 2021, features Sami continuing to dig her own (metaphorical) grave, a family reunion, and everyone deciding that they’re better off without Charlie.
A desperate Sami (Alison Sweeney) appealed to Belle’s (Martha Madison) better angels – and reminded, once again, as if she needed telling, that they’re family. So, Belle buckled and agreed to continue representing her sister. But she had a condition. Sami must promise to tell the truth from here on in. And if she doesn’t, Belle swears that she’s out the door.
Sami swore. In fact, she put on a great show to explain away her fingerprints being found on the murder weapon – and she even managed to convince a dubious Belle that she wasn’t playing the fall girl for the actual shooter.
Enter Rafe, who had further evidence to level against her. Turns out, the clothes that Sami wore on the night of her arrest were covered with gunshot residue. Whoops! Guess Sami should have washed more than her hands.
Sami continued to plead her innocence, but Belle informed her that she’d have to convince another sucker *um* lawyer because she’s through with all the nonsense.
Though Anna (Leann Hunley) was momentarily taken aback at finding a trussed-up Gwen (Emily O’Brien) in the wine cellar, she quickly recovered. Gwen pleaded for salvation and explained the circumstances that led to her current predicament, but Anna was more interested in Abigail (Marci Miller) and Gabi’s (Camila Banus) coming together for a common cause than she was about rescuing Gwen.
Meanwhile, after being caught out and about on the town by Chad (Billy Flynn), Abby and Gabi had to think fast. Luckily, the former hit upon the idea of staging an apology to the latter…and it was about as sincere as her last one.
In the aftermath of shaking her still-suspicious husband off, Abby returned to her victim armed with a syringe full of Dr. Rolf’s (William Utay) mind-melting concoction. Gwen argued that Abby didn’t have the guts to actually jab her with the needle, Gabi co-signed the theory, and Abby readied herself to prove them both wrong!
After deciding that neither one of them was particularly sorry that Charlie had died, Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) decided to take Henry Lucas to visit his grandma Ava (Tamara Braun) – another Salemite who didn’t really miss Charlie.
