On today’s Days of our Lives, Brady Black and his co-conspirator ensure that Dr. Rolf has everything he needs to root around in Stefan’s noggin.
In addition, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) learned that his actions have serious consequences, and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) resolved to bring big, bad Stefan to his knees. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Stefan (Brandon Barash) was screaming that he didn’t want to be deprogrammed, but Brady (Eric Martsolf) didn’t care. He felt that Stefan actually should want that loving feeling for Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) cut out of his head, and once that’s done, everybody can move on and be the better for it.

Inevitably, there was a snag — Rolf (Richard Wharton) wasn’t particularly feeling up to the challenge. After all, he doesn’t have access to his shiny, state-of-the-art equipment, and he needs it. Brady disagreed. So did Eric (Greg Vaughan).
Rolf can do anything that he sets his mind to, and with whatever equipment he can get his hands on, the brothers insisted. Rolf’s just that good.
This is true, decided Rolf. Okay, he’ll do it! And not just because the gentlemen had made such a pathetic attempt to appeal to his ego. But how to best begin, and what to use? The waffle iron would do the trick. And the five-speed hand mixer. And the grilling tongs. Oh, and the slow cooker. That was important too, as was a plethora of extension cords. Also, Rolf required a bowl of piping hot clam chowder. A big bowl. And make it snappy, Eric!
Opposite this, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) received word that Rolf had been released from the local cop shop and tore over there to tear Rafe (Galen Gering) a new one. What the Hell did the Commissioner think he was playing at? How dare he let her client walk!
Once he’d stopped giggling — a dense lawyer peeved that her client was actually free and clear tickled him so — Rafe helpfully (read: pointedly and with much cattiness) explained that Rolf had signed his previous statement and his cushy plea deal had gone into effect. If Sloan was displeased, she could always take it up with her paralegal, Eric Brady.
GASP! I’ve been had, groused Sloan. Off to the Brady Pub she ran, and a big scene she did make. Eric and Rolf were hardly cowed. We’re through, Sloan promised her latest bed buddy. Okay, Eric shrugged.
Back upstairs, Rolf jerry-rigged the cookery implements into a make-do de-programmer, Brady provided some snaps of Chloe upon request, and Stefan prayed that he’d live to see another day.
Turns out Gabi (Camila Banus) should have read the fine print of that contract she signed. Not only must she stay married to Li for six months, but she must cohabitate with him for the duration. Luckily, Li plans to go apartment hunting. Nothing’s too good for his little lady!
Even before his plane touched down in Salem, Wei (Michael Hagiwara) had made up his mind that he was going to yell at somebody. He’d prefer it be EJ, seeing as how EJ’s very public blunder was costing the company dearly, but really anybody would do.
Much to his disappointment, the only person around the office was Wendy (Victoria Grace), his precocious daughter, she of the amazing work ethic whose only flaw was being born a woman. Her, he had no time for. Where’s EJ? Where’s Stefan? Where’s Li? Where is a man whom he can yell at?
Cutting his losses with the female one, Wei decided to track down Li…and he found him, basking in the successful negotiations that he’d just had with Gabi. What negotiations, wondered Wei. The one where I traded my DiMera Enterprises shares for six months of marriage, answered Li.
THWACK was the sound the back of Wei’s hand made when it struck Li’s cheek. How could his son be foolish?! Doesn’t he realize what he’s just given up?
Li insisted he had it under control, right before everything went to pot. First, Li learned that Rolf was no longer a guest of the Salem Police Department. Then, Rolf and Jada (Elia Cantu) came knocking. It was their great pleasure to place Li under arrest, yet again, for the role he played in brainwashing Stefan — not the mention the attempted murder.
Why oh why would Stefan be drugging EJ, wondered Nicole out loud. Weren’t the brothers on good terms? Hadn’t Stefan readily forgiven EJ for keeping quiet about his conditioning?
EJ wondered if it was all a ploy. What if, and stay with him here Nicole, what if Stefan only pretended to forgive and forget and all the while he’s been plotting to sabotage EJ?
Think about it. It all makes a sick kind of sense. EJ only goes loopy after he’s drank something handed to him by Stefan. And remember that time Nicole got sick? It was on a mimosa prepared by Stefan.
That bastard (plus a few other choice expletives), Nicole railed. The utter gall! Oh, she’s going to make Stefan pay. Scratch that, she and EJ are going to make him pay. Together. Because they’re a team.
First things first, they’ve got to get the contents of the vial tested. There can be no confronting Stefan until they have proof positive.
