On today’s Days of our Lives, Brady Black and Anna discovered that Chloe’s the type to get going when the going gets tough.
In addition, Stefan (Brandon Barash) forged ahead with his revenge plan against EJ (Dan Feuerrigel) — setback be damned! — and Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) made herself indispensable to a pair of irredeemable men. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Loath as he was to admit it, Brady (Eric Martsolf) was certain that he could see his stepbrother drowning his sorrows. Still, he asked if that was what Eric (Greg Vaughan) was doing. Yep, came the reply. Did Brady want to join him?
“No brother, I’m not going to join you — I’m sober,” Brady reminded before pointedly adding, “I thought you were too.”
That was the last thing that Eric needed or wanted to hear…well, until Brady hypothesized that Eric was moping about because he was still in love with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Nu uh, insisted Eric. Besides, he’s with Sloan now…well, not “with” Sloan, exactly.

They’re casual. Good friends with great benefits. That’s how Eric wants it, and how he needs it. Okay, huffed Brady, clearly unimpressed.
Enter Anna (Leann Hunley), on a mission of mercy, as it were. Roman (Josh Taylor) is hurting — his wife, ex-wife, and sister are all dead, after all — and like any good former spouse, she wants to offer some tender love and care. Unfortunately, Roman isn’t on site. Oh well, Anna decided to busy herself checking on Eric and Brady and recapping the adventure she had the previous night.
Color Brady shocked. Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), his Chloe, had decided to end her “relationship” with Stefan, only to find him mid-torture courtesy of a now-jailed Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton). Oh, and it turns out Stefan now loves not only Chloe but Gabi as well. Ridiculous! He must go and speak with her. So, off he goes. But what should Anna and Eric do?
Eric decides on a walk. Anna, on the other hand, had herself a one-sided pep talk with Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) ashes — well, someone’s ashes — and decided to go and lend Brady an assist — and assist she did.
Thanks to Anna and her walking around/bribery money, Brady scored a key to Chloe’s room and let himself in. Inside they found…a whole lot of nothing. No clothes, no hair products, no suitcases. Chloe was gone, and they had no idea where to.
Stefan had a suggestion that he wanted to put to EJ: Give Gabi (Camila Banus) back the reins at DiMera Enterprises. EJ didn’t want to hear his brother out. Nope, no siree. A DiMera should be running DiMera Enterprises.
Now, EJ is enamored with the idea of running the company alongside his brother, but that’s all he’s willing to entertain. All talk of Gabi must cease immediately. It’s just not that simple, explained Stefan, who then proceeded to offer a recap similar to Anna’s. Goodness gracious declared EJ. Poor Stefan.
And also poor Nicole. She’s had a hell of a night and morning. She’s tired, achy, nauseous, and curious as to why. She only had one mimosa and a champagne chaser. A dosed mimosa, thought Stefan to himself.
Damn it! His plan to drug EJ failed spectacularly. Never mind. Nicole will heal — eventually — and Stefan can always target EJ again…which he did…with a spot of hot, and spiked, tea.
While out on her morning stroll, Sloan came upon a clearly distressed Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). What’s a girl to do but offer her services *eh um* her legal services?
At first, Li was dubious, but Sloan insisted that she was the best of the best. Not only that, she swore that she could get Rolf sprung from lockup, and she’d help Li hang on to Gabi. How exactly, she didn’t say. You’re hired, Li did say.
And it’s a good thing, too, because Sloan managed to halt Rolf from adding his John Hancock to a statement that ratted out Li and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Opposite that, Gabi came upon Li and boasted that Stefan had regained his loving feelings for her. For some reason, she then confessed that he was still pretty darn sweet on Chloe as well. That tickled Li, and Li’s being tickled infuriated Gabi.
Try as she might, Nicole just couldn’t shake her “hangover.” While trying to get a grip in the park, she wound up feeling faint and was only saved from a faceplant by the grace of an incoming Eric — not that Nicole thanked him. Also, she did not need him to save her by calling a cab even though she couldn’t find her phone. Instead, Nicole bitterly implied that she and EJ had been intimate (mostly a callback to Sloan bragging she found Eric’s phone in her bed). Eric didn’t lower himself to argue.
