Should Days of our Lives Recast EJ DiMera?

The last thing Days of our Lives viewers heard about EJ, he was being nursed back to health by Sami after having been burned beyond recognition. Susan visits her son sometimes. Johnny is having a hard time with char-broiled dad to the point where Rafe (Galen Gering) needed to step in with some ex-step-fatherly advice.

But it’s super weird having Sami (Alison Sweeney) in and out of Salem without the love of her life. (Sorry, Lucas.) James Scott isn’t available to resume his role. A little over 50% of you said yes, definitely, his presence is needed, and you’ll take anyone in the role, as long as your precious EJami are reunited. He can come home and knock both Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jake (Brandon Barash) down a few pegs.

Take over DiMera, make Sami the new lady of the house. Kick Gabi (Camila Banus) to the curb. He can even bring Johnny home with him. We presume he’s Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) age by now. They’re twins, right? And Sydney must be a rebellious teen. You can wait to watch EJ play Daddy to his kids… and husband to his Samantha.

A little less than 50% of the audience isn’t having it. James Scott is the one and only EJ. You can’t duplicate that kind of chemistry with just anybody.
