Days of Our Lives Trevor Donovan
He was only on Days of Our Lives for a short period of time, but fans still recall Trevor Donovan as Jeremy Horton. They’ve followed his post-soap career and also enjoyed watching the actor’s posts on his dogs.
Sadly, Donovan recently shared on social media that his beloved German Shepherd, Dogbert, has died, crossing over to what some pet lovers call ‘The Rainbow Bridge.’
Earlier this year, the actor went on the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show to bring awareness to Dogbert’s condition, described as a canine form of ALS.
“DB is no longer with us,” the actor said. “He let me know it was time. I just want to thank everybody for so much support online and for being a part of his journey over the past year. You have no idea how much it helped.”
The actor wants to continue to champion that breeders test for the condition that afflicted Dogbert.
“This is not so much mourning as it is a celebration of DB’s life,” added Donovan, leading into a video of happier times set to the tune of Kenny Rogers song Through The Years.
Soap Hub extends its deepest sympathies to Donovan on the loss of Dogbert. It’s clear to see in the video and in his social media posts that Donovan gave Dogbert a great life.
