The Days of Our Lives recap for September 7-11, 2020, features a whole lot of characters questioning the error of their ways.
Regrets? The people of Salem have a few. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) regrets his serial killer past – especially now that it seems his actions have cost him the love of this life.
Tripp (Lucas Adams) is still regretting – and bemoaning – the terror campaign that he subjected Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) to all those years ago but she’s willing to forgive, forget and welcome him to Salem University Hospital fold.
Chad (Billy Flynn) is really regretting his decision to allow Gwen (Emily O’Brien) to remain at Chez DiMera – especially now that his wife has returned from her mental health sabbatical. Just wait till he finds out that his new housemate was the one responsible for Abby’s (Kate Mansi) breakdown in the first place.
And Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is really regretting her decision to entrust Rachel to Lani (Sal Stowers), especially now that Eli (Lamon Archey) seems hell-bent on arresting her for Victor’s (John Aniston) stabbing.
The only person who doesn’t seem to be harboring any regret in their heart is Sami (Alison Sweeney) – we’re pretty sure she’s immune to the concept – and that’s quite ironic considering she has a LOT to be sorry for.
There’s the whole bullying John (Drake Hogestyn) into a coma thing (sure, sure, Marlena says it isn’t Sami’s fault but it’s definitely Sami’s fault). Then she blackmailed Victor (John Aniston) into dredging up Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) long-ago attempt to murder him – like he didn’t deserve it even just a little bit.
And when she still wasn’t satisfied with her sabotage, Sami engineered the release of Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) so she could give her own recollection of events past. But maybe’s the jokes actually on us. Because in the end, Sami’s schemes worked out to her advantage. Meet Baby Boy’s Horton legal guardian!
What is it with Brady women and violent (presumed) deaths? Hope supposedly perished via a vat of acid and now Ciara has been apparently been reduced to ash by an exploding car.
So, Gwen is Abby’s poisoner? This in spite of the fact that she was a patient at Bayview at the time of the original drugging and the fact that there is no way she could have gotten her hands on an experimental drug manufactured exclusively by DiMera Enterprises. Can you say retcon?
Marlena to Brady: “Gosh, I think this would make [John] pretty happy…the two of us here, together, supporting each other after – you know, after the time that things weren’t so good between us.”
Oh yes, “the time.” Back when Brady was a disrespectful college student who didn’t think a thing about calling Marlena a whore or accusing her of usurping his mother’s place in John’s heart.
“The time” when Marlena became convinced that Brady was out to physically harm Belle and her actions indirectly caused him to be shot and temporarily paralyzed. Yeah, these two have come a long way. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
