Days of our Lives fans are used to kids being toddlers one day — teens the next. In fact, this is a phenomenon in soapland called SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome).
It happened to Hope (Kristian Alfonso). It happened to Sami (Alison Sweeney). It happened to Belle (Martha Madison) and Philip and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Abigail (Kate Mansi) and JJ (Casey Moss). Is it time for it to happen to Johnny, Allie, and Sydney? How over 5,000 fans voted:

Go for it, 75% of the audience cheers, some of our favorite current characters went through a commercial break growth spurt. And they became a lot more interesting for it. You can’t wait to see what a trio of teenagers raised by Sami — and carrying Roberts and DiMera DNA — will turn out to be like.
Will Allie and Sydney be hellions like their mom, or will their Brady side come out on the side of truth, justice, and the American way?
Will Johnny take after Grandpa Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) or Roman (Josh Taylor)? And what about their potential love interests? Those kids are related to Bradys, DiMeras, and Hortons. Are there any non-cousins for them even to date in Salem?

What’s the Matter With Kids Today?
No, 25% of Days of our Lives fans counter. Let kids be kids! We just saw what happened when Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) went from dolls to dating. It messed with her head. And she had two good, stable parents. Allie, Johnny, and Sydney have super messed-up parents. What chance have they got?
Plus, let’s refer to the dating dilemma above. If Allie, Johnny, and Sydney suddenly hit their teen years, who on the canvas could they even think about? Ben (Robert Scott Wilson)? Hayley (Thia Megia)? Maybe baby David can also be SORAS’d in order to diversify the gene pool.
