Poor Abe can’t seem to find a lady and have her stick around on Days of Our Lives, and it looks like history is going to repeat itself — leaving Abe on his own once again in Salem.
That’s because, according to published reports, he’s not only losing one leading lady but two! It all begins with the return of Vanessa Williams as Valerie, who won’t be staying for long.
Things seem to have been slowly heating up between Abe (James Reynolds) and his mayoral assistant, Sheila (Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins) and it looks like Valerie finds out about it. Unfortunately for Abe, he and Valerie realize that their long-distance relationship just isn’t working out for either of them.
So things hit the skids big time for these two as they go their separate ways. While that would seem to open the path for Abe to pursue Sheila, things happen between these two that makes them realize love is not in the cards for them.
And it looks like that will cause Sheila to once again leave Salem, which is a shame for her boss, who has come to rely on her particular brand of wisdom and guidance (if not actual office assistance). It will also be sad for Eli (Lamon Archey) to lose having his childhood friend in town again.
She certainly had his back and was part of the reason Lani (Sal Stowers) finally saw the light and agreed to pursue a relationship with Eli.
Now that their relationship could be having problems thanks to Lani’s growing attachment to Jordan’s (Chrishell Hartley) son, David, Eli probably could have benefitted from his pal’s advice.
Alas, Watkins is exiting the DAYS canvas as well. Where will this leave Abe, as the mayoral race heats up? It’s anyone’s guess.
