Now everybody knows that Clyde Weston killed Abigail Deveraux DiMera on Days of our Lives — because he actually wanted to kill Belle Black in order to threaten EJ DiMera…which all makes an amazing lack of sense. It could mean something for Ben Weston, though.

Because of Clyde’s (James Read) latest misdeeds, should Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), the guy who has finally forgiven his father for a hellacious childhood that turned him into a serial killer, return to Salem? Soap Hub asked, and here’s what you said.
Ben Weston, Face Your Fears
Almost half of you, 45%, believe it’s important for Ben to face his demons, otherwise known as his dad. Clyde accused Abigail (Marci Miller) of being the reason Ben lost his mind. The childhood abuse was just a…preamble? When Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) was pregnant, Ben was terrified that little Bo would turn out to be a violent criminal like him…and like Clyde.
Ben needs to come face to face with Clyde so he can see that what happened to him isn’t genetic. Clyde is a bad man. Ben was a bad man, too… who got help and became a good one. If he’s a good father to Bo Brady Weston, he can make sure the tot never follows in (their) footsteps.

Confusion Reigns
It would be too confusing, 28% of the audience objects. Obviously, Clyde doesn’t think that Alex Kiriakis (also Robert Scott Wilson) looks anything like his son. And if his son were to return to Salem, we’d have to pretend that we don’t think so either. Which is a bit much to ask of an audience. (Just ask General Hospital and all their recasts with the same actor in different roles. It’s distracting!)
One Way
An almost equal 27%, on the other hand, suggests that Ben just call into Salem…Shawn Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) can answer…and then tell the rest of us what he said. It’s splitting the difference.
