Deimos’ death on Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) drove story for seemingly longer than his life did. Even after Nicole was unmasked as the killer, Brady (Eric Marstolf) used it to blackmail her away from Eric (Greg Vaughn), and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) eventually left town.
Bonnie (Judi Evans) used it to almost force Victor (John Aniston) into marrying her, Sonny (Freddie Smith) spent time in jail over it, but now Brady thinks he has a new suspect. Eve (Kassie DePaiva).
Last month, no one even knew that Eve and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) had eloped. Then Eve turned up in full widow’s weeds and the games were on!
But is she the true killer? Over 3,000 eagle-eyed viewers weighed in:
No By a Nose!
It was a squeaker, but, ultimately, 51% of you couldn’t imagine Shane’s little girl doing such a thing. Sure, Eve’s done some rotten things in her life (all the way back to when she had all that long, luscious hair).
And, sure, one of those rotten things was almost killing Maggie’s daughter, Sarah. But that was an accident! Eve wasn’t aiming to kill! She was just driving a stolen car… badly. All her other crimes were non-violent, and you don’t expect her to change her M.O. now.
Evolution
Yes, play a devil’s advocate 49% of you, but Eve’s previous crimes were before her daughter, Paige, was killed. That was a tragedy Eve is still recovering from, and traumatized people tend to do things that might otherwise seem out of character.
Maybe Eve thought if a nut-case could snuff out her child’s life, then why couldn’t she take someone else’s? Especially someone who was rich, and not too nice… and who’d abandoned her after a whirlwind romance without so much as a phone call.
If Eve was going to kill, when it came to Deimos, she had means, motive, and opportunity!
