Just because someone is paranoid, doesn’t mean someone isn’t out to get you. And just because Hope (Kristian Alfonso) on Days of Our Lives is obsessed with framing Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) for setting the fire that nearly killed Ciara (Victoria Konefal), doesn’t mean Ben…didn’t actually set the fire.
Could Hope be on the right track, after all? Here’s what almost 6,000 had to say about it.
Barking Up the Wrong Tree
No, 70% of you insist. Ben has changed, he’s not a killer anymore, and he would never hurt Ciara. What would his motive even have been? If he wanted to take off and leave her, he could have taken off and left her.
He didn’t have to burn her to a crisp to do it. Heck, she was stuck in bed, she might have even died anyway from dehydration or starvation or exposure. Ben had lots of passive ways of killing her. Why risk a fire?
Oh, and, he’s changed now. Remember that.
Bad Medicine
A much smaller 20% see it as possible, but only if Ben was off his meds at the time. He didn’t do it deliberately. He couldn’t help it. And as we just learned from Abigail (Kate Mansi), if you did something while mentally ill, it is absolutely not your fault and anyone who still holds a grudge is just a poopy-head Gabi (Camila Banus).
It Was Ben In the Cabin With Accelerant!
Ben did it, 10% of the audience is confident, and he did it not because he was sick, but because he’s bad, and always has been bad.
Ben is a psycho who enjoys killing people, and since the necktie thing wasn’t foolproof – look at Will (Chandler Massey) walking around, grinning sheepishly, good as new – Ben needed something more permanent. A nice, cleansing fire. Resurrect some ashes, why don’t you?
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
