Paul has left Days of Our Lives. Well, what would you do if you found out that the man you loved – and had just moved in with – was lying to you and that he really loved the guy you almost married before the first guy came back from the dead (got that)?
More precisely, Paul (Christopher Sean) dumped Will (Chandler Massey) when Brady (Eric Martsolf) told Paul that Will was still carrying a torch for Sonny (Freddie Smith).
Will was only with Sonny because he felt guilty. Professional athlete Paul was paralyzed, stuck in a wheelchair, after saving Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) life – who just happens to be Will’s mom.
Now Paul is heartbroken, and Will and Sonny are on their way to a reunion – well, there is that other, minor, Leo (Greg Rikaart)-shaped problem. But, nonetheless, did Will and Sonny treat Paul badly? Here’s where over 4,000 viewers stand on the issue.
We’re Good
Paul deserved it, 65% reassure. He had it coming for his crimes. First, Paul got in the way of a Sonny and Will reunion by preparing to marry Sonny – simply because Will was presumed dead!
And then Paul got in the way of a Will and Sonny reunion by believing it when Will claimed he didn’t remember his love for Sonny, and wanted Paul, instead. What did the homewrecker expect?
Bad Boys
A minority 35%, however, see Paul as the victim. He honestly fell for Sonny – and got dumped. He honestly fell for Will – and got dumped.
But, not even to his face. Half of Salem knew that Will didn’t really love him before Paul did. That’s got to hurt a guy who’s been nothing but nice since he arrived.
Will and Sonny have every right to feel the way they feel. But they could have been a heck of a lot more sensitive to Paul’s feelings.
