Paul Telfer is a pro at engaging with his fans on social media. The Days of Our Lives star had tongues wagging after a recent Instagram video he posted that led fans to speculate as to what exactly was his future with the NBC serial.
Now, Telfer, who plays bad boy Xander, has posted another video showing him coming back to the DAYS set to shoot more shows now that the serial is back in production following the news of its renewal. “GOOD TO BE BACK,” the actor posted.
The news isn’t all good, alas — more on that later. In his first video, Telfer treated himself to a donut knowing he wouldn’t have to shoot any shirtless scenes over the holiday break.
“In celebration of @nbcdays official renewal announcement – here’s me leaving the studio after shooting potentially my last scene ever,” Telfer posted on Instagram following the news of DAYS being picked up. “I was hopeful that the show was coming back, and that they’d invite me to be a part of it again.
“But I was also VERY excited to not have to take my shirt off on camera for a couple of months and take advantage of the DOOL Donut Fairy’s generosity. (Special thanks to my gorgeous makeup artist Liz for giving me the lipstick kiss marks and not telling me 💋 ☺️) Very excited to see what’s going to happen here in 2020.”
It was until Telfer’s second video surfaced, showing him enter the studio, that fans’ fears were fully allayed about his status with the show. So, what’s the bad news? Telfer went to the show’s coffee station to find that there were no donuts. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
